Its not even about the game last night cause I would feel this way if Houston would have won. Just making a point. There were some s fans in Texas but not much then Vy got there and all of a sudden they were all over and the VY jersey could be bought all over Austin. Then they lose (and VY rides the pine) and they are all cowboys fans or what not, then vy comes back and starts and wins then they are all over again.
how ing funny will it be if the ans make the playoffs and the texans don't. will they average 30,000 fans a game next year?

As an outside observer, it is almost sad to see Colt not getting his full due from a good majority of VY lovers. I really do think VY would have proven just what he is proving in the pros if he had stayed - he's an amazing talent that is a head case and gets injured and disappears in the face of adversity.
Colt has already proven to be the winningest QB ever but unless he wins the BCS, he will always just be the next Major or Chrissy.
why do you think that colt doesn't get his due? people ing love colt. colt will be bigger than jesus if he wins a mnc.

I don't give a about the Texans so I have no reason not to root for Vince to do well. Actually, I want him and all other longhorns to have success because that success gives the program higher value with blue chip recruits. Just like TJ Ford and Kevin Durant did for the bball program.

Fact is VY brought a NC that was over 30 in the making creating a huge hunger that was fulfilled in the most satisfying way possible - punking the supposed "greatest team of all time" in their own back yard in arguably the best college football game ever played
I have always wondered what Colt McCoy's future in the NFL is going to be like, but he definitely has the tools to be an efficient QB. He has the arm, the smarts, the accuracy, the mobility (when necessary). The situation he ends up when will be a big determining factor of his success or lack thereof. How high or low he goes in the draft is irrelevant. Take Matt Leinart for example (since you're a USC guy). The QB position is the hardest to predict, IMO, when a player transitions from college to the NFL. It feels like the least hyped guys usually have the most success. I think (and hope) that Colt will surprise some people if given the opportunity.
He has the arm? dunno about that. QB is definitely the hardest position to predict. It's why I always want teams to go linemen over QB in the first pick for the draft.
I just don't see McCoy having much success. Weak arm and is very small(Drew Brees is as well, but most of his time is spent in the pocket). He could possible be a Pennington. Very accurate and a smart player. McCoy is a couple of years from NFL ready.
VY didnt get VY love until after winning a national championship. and consider the cir stances...
the guy had the single greatest performance in college football (and arguably sports, period) history, against "the greatest team of all time" and finally brought a championship to a school that hadnt had one in a LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time
granted, Colt probably wont be able to get the kind of love VY, and thats because VY had much different cir stances, but Colt sure will get his fair amount after they win the NC this year

hes definitely got a better arm than Pennington, and is like 6'2 - 6'3, which is pretty decent height for a QB. and he has packed on quite a bit of muscle since his early days. he can definitely take the beating.
McCoy definitely has the tools for an NFL QB. will he succeed? who knows, but you are selling him short.

I'm sure McCoy can be at least decent, as he is similar to Sanchez in terms of tools, only better in pretty much every aspect.
My Sanchez love is sarcasm. I do that for every USC player not named Matt Leinart. He's behind a lot of QB's in the draft this season. It has to do with this being one of the deepest QB classes that can think of(Assuming most underclassmen declare).
i would have to lean towards no, i dont think he'll be a good starting qb, first of all its the safe bet and one could say that about any college qb and probably be right
i think he is too small he just has a slender frame and he is not 6-2 or 6-3. that is just based on when i stood next to sam bradford, who is maybe 6-2 and at least an inch taller than mccoy when they stood back to back for a contrived friendship story this year
mccoy is also prone to fumble the football

Bradford is listed as 6'5 but probably closer to 6'3 than that.
And no way is McCoy 6'2, like mookie said.
I like Bradford as a prospect a lot. I'd take him over Clausen and Locker.

i am 6 feet tall exactly, if i played college football i would probably be listed at 6-1
when i stood next to bradford i was looking at him face to face, i'll give him an inch, thats MAYBE 6-2, so he could be listed at 6-3 that leaves colt at 6-1, watch when he stands next to shipley who is 6 ft, you can tell
not that you have to be 6-3 to play in the nfl, its just another strike against you
