No, Tony Parker took the Spurs to playoffs last year.
laker fan can dish it out but sure as can't take it.
No, Tony Parker took the Spurs to playoffs last year.
Apology accepted.
No he isn't. Flat out lie right there.
He comes off the bench because he's a roleplayer.
Lakerfan downplaying other Laker players to pump up Kobe when it suits them. So Gasol was nothing when he couldnt take the Grizzlies past the first round without a second All-Star...
But PAU >>>> DIRK... because Dirk couldnt win in the Finals and Pau is an NBA champion.
If you only look at one end of the floor, sure.
Yeah, he's not good enough to start for the Nets or the Bobcats.
He comes off the bench because they start a frontline of Bynum/Gasol/Artest.He comes off the bench because he's a roleplayer.
Lakers were 3-15 in the games Lamar Odom missed that season. It's not the only reason they didn't make the playoffs, but injuries certainly factored. Can't ignore that. The Lakers front court was not good to begin with that season, and without Odom, they were extremely weak up front.
Because Nets and Bobcats = just about every team? Didn't think you were that dumb.
Doesn't change the fact that he's a roleplayer and nothing more than a good 3rd/4th option when he's at his best. Problem is Odom's only at his best 25-30 games a season.
Odom would start on most teams in the league. He's a starting-caliber player that can play either the 3 or the 4.
Nah, he wouldn't start for most teams in the league. Maybe most bad ones. And the good teams where he would qualify would quickly realize his inconsistency is better suited coming off the bench.
Oh ok so we went from All-Star caliber to starting for every team in the league, to starting-caliber on some teams.
And the Lakers don't play Lamar at the 3 anymore for a reason. Because he's not a shooting forward - SFs can generally make wide open mid-range jump shots. If Lamar has proven anything the past 5 years it's that he's a power forward.
Now, that's a well thought out, and fact-supported response. You get bonus points because you didn't need to dog on Odom in the process. Thank you![]()
- lack of talent
- lack of leadership: Kobe hadn't matured yet
- and to answer your question on Duncan: no
I'm surprised at how many people have taken this troll thread seriously.
He's talking about Kobe
Kobe misses 16 Games...Odom misses 20 And the rest of the Team is expected to Hold ship?
SA's big 3 all missed multiple games last year but anytime any Spurs fan brings up Ginobili not playing due to injury and Duncan playing hurt against Dallas, they get raked over the coals.
Fascinating.
i dont even know why ure brining up old stuff like this?!?! all that matters is the Lakas gonna win another 'ship this year. my boy Kobe gonna show the hataz wassup.
Lakas
4eva
Hataz
You're 12 or what?
GTFO
Is that you Ron?
Whose troll is this?
It's interesting how my argument is descredited because of things OTHER posters say...
Why are we comparing 2 of the big 3 to a 2005 Odom and Caron Butler though?
It's funny because Spurs fan acts like their team is unbeatable when Manu is playing. Like he's this borderline Kobe-esque superstar. As if Kobe had anyone like that on his team in 2005.
Indeed.
looks somebody got there butt hurt over the Lakas. wanna kiss the rings????? i got 15 of em.
Kinda like how Laker fan acts like Kobe is the 2nd coming of Jordan? Last I checked, the Lakers, while current champions and damn good over the last 10 years (save a few between the 2005 and 2007), definitely not unbeatable.
Make no mistake about it, I don't think the Spurs would have won last year even with a fully healthy team. And, while the injuries definitely screwed with them, they should have at least advanced to the 2nd round.
I just find the comedy in the fact that people make excuses for their own team but refuse to accept those same excuses from other fans of other teams. Nearly everyone is guilty of it. Even you.
