I think I'm the only Simms fan alive.

He can definitely play in the NFL. Pennington is a mega weak comparison for McCoy. Personally I think he'll be more like Jake Plummer. His frame is a little small for his height but he's become a tough sob the past two years. I think he can get cut and have a productive pro career.
He's not even close to getting the DNA slap the way Applewhite did. Dude pretty much knew he would've gotten murdered in the NFL. I think to this day that if he had the body to survive the NFL, he could've be on Manning's level. Manning's obviously ass tons better now but on the right team who knows what Major could've done.
you're Phil?
I would agree that he needs a good combine......moreso than a good Wunderlich test.
I'm really starting to think you don't know when you nut hug.
yup, i hate the whole "pro-style offense" nonsense
if you have good footwork, good throwing mechanics, and an ability to read defenses, you will be fine. mccoy has all three to me.
The debate whether I nut hug or not has nothing to do with the fact that you don't understand football blake.
there's really no debate as to how you and 90210 hug nuts.
why don't you explain the game of football and how it works.
So let me get this straight. Saying that the winningest QB in NCAA history, with the best accuracy in NCAA history could have a successful NFL career is nuthugging? Sounds like when you said we were nuthugging when we said Vince was playing well at 4-0. It's sad that you hate UT so much that you're blinded.
If he gets a le, he'll be the greatest college QB ever. Stats don't lie. Most wins EVER, best % EVER, GREAT rushing stats to go along, and then a championship? Done deal
I am about to lay down the hammer on this nuthugging .
not in my house i saidd
this is a family forum.
IMHO...
If I had them on the same team I would play them like this:
Vince: 15 mins a game(1st and 4th quarters)
Colt: 15 mins a game(2nd and 3rd quarters)
Total: 30 mins a game(1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters)
Or I might do it like this:
Vince: 15 mins a game(1st and 3rd downs)
Cole: 15 mins a game(2nd and 4th downs)
Total: 30 mins a game(1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th downs)
The minutes wouldn't break exactly right but you could manage the clock to make it more or less pretty much like that.
Anyway,
Vince is more talented physically but Colt is a pretty complete QB. Colt was better his first year than Vince was.
Vince however had arguably the greatest season by college QB in 2005. And as the mookie crew pointed out, he won a National le pretty much all by himself. Against a bad ass team too.
Still, Colt only had 1 truly bad season, his second. His first year he got hurt, and last year it wasn't his fault they lost to Tech. Colt's got been real good from day 1. Joe Montana couldn't throw it 60 yards either, and he threw more 5 yard passes than any QB in NFL history, and he threw them well. Joe needed no running game to win a superbowl with his lateral short passing game.
It's interesting listening to mookie and cbf talk about Vince making the Horns mean something again though...when I was a kid I didn't really remember them winning a le but they still meant something. Then Fred Akers sucked ass, and so did Mcwilliams and Mackovic. Ugh. I remember one year late in Royal's career, the only thing that stopped them from winning a championship was Joe Montana.

no if you ever said that, I never called you a nuthugger for it......
but it's really no surprise your illiteracy keeps you from getting it straight yet again.
when was Vince playing great at 4-0? You said it was after his 125 yard passing performance. Did he also play great after his 116 yard performance?Sounds like when you said we were nuthugging when we said Vince was playing well at 4-0. It's sad that you hate UT so much that you're blinded.
It's sad that you are so far up Vince's crack that you are blinded.
No worries though. Vince played like an MVP yesterday, so you have a right to hug after that performance. That was incredible.
is it ok to say "nuthugging " in a family forum?
Not if Colt doesn't win the Heisman.....especially if Tebow somehow wins it again.
The Heisman trophy does not decide the best NCAA QB ever..that's just another garbage way for you to have something to hold on to. "At least Colt didn't get the Heisman." You know the Heisman trophy doesn't go to the best player that year...it goes to whoever the media wants it to go to....I thought you at least knew something about college football.
wow.....I have to re-read this.
yup. still just as funny the second time. NH in it's purest form.
Who do you think is the best player this year and why wouldn't the media want Colt to win the Heisman?
It would be a disgrace if Colt lost the Heisman again (especially after his video game statistics against Texas A&M). His production is actualy better at this point in the year, than it was last year.
He's averaged 358 yards at 72% and a tad less than 4 TDs a game (for his last 5 games).![]()
Gerhart has made a nice push of late and he's clearly Stanford's only hope on offense.
I'm fine with either winning it, but if they don't finish 1-2 it will be a pretty pathetic job done by the voters.
