I had to change my system to Windows 7 for some reason which had different settings from my Windows Vista.

I have windows 7 too. Your problem can easily be solved:
When the screen is larger than the wall ,Windows 7, by default, expands the wall to fill the screen and that is why you dont have a clear image of the wall.
When you load the wall see the options that appears under "image position", Choose the one (among many options) that goes well with your screen.
