    why don't they get the scrubs out of the dunk contest? allowing guys like Shannon Brown into it brings it down. It should be Lebron, Wade, Howard and other stars. Keep bench warmers out of All Star weekend

    For starters because established stars rarely even want to compete in the dunk contest nowadays. Unless of course they can seize the opportunity to be an attention and make some kind of dramatic announcement.

    they don't want to be in it because they don't want to partake with scrubs. If Lebron and Howard did it and it was known that no scrubs were allowed, other stars would enter.

    But if you are Lebron or Wade, is it really worth it to go out and out dunk Shannon Brown and Gerald Green or whatever the his name was?

    and they should also ban props. The cape is stupid, so is the cupcakes and ladders.

    This I agree with 100%. The props gimmick reached a new low with the phone booth last year. It made me want to vomit.
