I'm thinking this might be around the Lost Mine Trail, but my memory is hazy

More deer at camp. I bet the black bear we saw here a couple hours earlier wished he would have hung around a bit longer.

Ran across this old house under the A-cup. It's in surprisingly good condition for having been abandoned 60 years ago.

Here's a closer shot of it

A shot of me as humanly close to Mexico as one can legally get without a passport.

If one wanted to go to Big Bend, but really wasnt into the whole hiking thing. Would there be much to do?
Not that i dont want to hike, but it would be difficult taking a 2 year old and wife hiking. I think it could be a cheaper alternative vacation than heading to Wyoming next year.

The Santa Elena Canyon hike I'm posting pics from is VERY easy. Like 1 out of 10 difficulty, and only about 1.7 miles round-trip. Driving the park is awesome. There's a great dirt road on the west end if you have a 4WD vehicle, and you see tons of wildlife everywhere. You couldn't get the time out of that you'd probably get in Wyoming (without hiking at least), but of maybe the 10-15 national parks I have been too, Big Bend has by far the most wildlife that I have seen.

A shot of me looking up the canyon walls. My friend Ruben has gotten way ahead of us.![]()
