Colts are 99% likely to win...but wouldn't it be something if the ans pulled it off...wonder how much Blake would cry?
about as little as I did when the ans won yesterday.

I wonder how much you'll cry if Vince was to ever kick you off of his nuts.

something else to consider, for those of you who say "the only reason VY is doing well is because CJ is so dominant, lololololololololololol vince young dances with men " bull ... consider some stats...

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/...pfvHV6Abv.uLYF

while he had been playing pretty well, CJ didnt go on this huge tear until AFTER VY began starting... in the 6 games prior to VY starting, he had 100+ yard games only twice, and had 2 total rushing TDs...

after VY began starting, in these 5 games he has never ran for less than 132 yardsm 5.1 YPC, and has 7 rushing TDs.

id say that both players have clearly helped each other. CJ and VY both gets to play alongside a weapon that an opposing team has to seriously account for (be honest, no one was ever scared of KFC. not even for a second), and now they both are playing much better.

Kenny Britt has shown promise all season as well, and made a of a catch on the GW the other day. perhaps this could be a nice trio for years to come.

I'd give it a little more credence if there wasn't such a difference in the number of carries before and after the bye.

    Before bye: 15.8 carries/game

    After bye: 24.4 carries/game

VY has helped, as does winning, but I'd say it's just an excellent, explosive player getting more opportunities to gash defenses. Even early in the year when the games were close, he wasn't getting the ball nearly as much as he is now.

Defensive linemen/linebackers have to respect the QB's mobility now so they can't just capsize the pocket. This gives more time and room for CJ to break the line and he's being able to produce better with it. With better production and better drives/more overall plays comes more rushing attempts. They benefit each other.

Not disagreeing with you, or even with Stretch.

He's damn good in his own right is all I'm saying. And I am not one of those crediting VY's success solely to CJ. It certainly helps, but VY has done everything asked so far.

The only real questions I have about VY now is how he responds to losing a few games and if the can maintain the consistent performances.

He looks much more comfortable in the pocket and he's playing extremely well.

Its funny how you try to "look at the whole picture" but don't really look at the whole picture.

It's easier to get more carries, if you have more chances to carry the ball. Consistent 3-and-outs and short-lived 5 or 6 play drives will not get you very many touches. VY has made a massive difference in keeping plays and drives alive, as opposed to KFC.

    I agree with this completely.

And the thing that would irk me about VY haters, is that ALL great players through time had great weapons to help them. Emmitt had a great o-line. Brady had great protection. Rice had QBs that knew how to get the ball to him effectively.

VY finally has a good weapon, and people suddenly want to use that to discredit his performance? Most illogical.

My point is, great players go hand-in-hand. They need each other for success. That's why these are team games, and thats what makes sports so great. Every single player makes a difference.

so how much credit do you give Collins for the 10 game winning streak last year?

What was Collins doing different last year that he wasn't doing this year?

Making reads quickly, getting the ball out, throwing accurately, making better game management decisions.

he gets credit for doing a good job of not completely ing things up like he usually does, managing the offense decently. but the defense was FAR superior last year as opposed to this year (haynesworth was a massive loss)

unfortunately KFC went back to his old self again this year, throwing duds, throwing picks, and completely sucking ass as much as an ass can get sucked.

fact is, last year their defense was good enough to manage wins despite a poor offense. but this year, it wasnt, and they need support from their offense, and VY has helped to provide that, and the team as a whole has improved, offensively (because they can actually sustain drives and have reasons to be feared with CJ and VY) and defensively (arent on the field for 40 minutes a game anymore, constantly having to clean up after the awful offense).

The performance by the WR unit in the NE game was possibly the worst I've seen in a few years. I didn't understand having him throw the ball so much in the rain on a windy day in NY, either.

KC was a problem and he definitely didn't play well, but he wasn't the only reason they were 0-6.

It was a perfect situation for VY. No expectations, was getting several key players back from injury, the talent on their team was better than their record and really, he had nothing to lose.

So that's twice now that he's played well in a relief role. Hopefully, he can carry into next season and play well from Day 1, something he hasn't proven he can do yet.

um the story of his career has pretty much been his inconsistency issues

and look at the year that he got benched for VY

there is so much evidence of that, its not even funny. so instead, how about this... prove that collins has been managing drives as good as or better than VY

The schedule for the ans was tough to start. Pittsburgh, NY Jets, Indy and NE. If CJ runs for the same totals, then VY throwing for less than 200 yards probably wins none of those games either.

You're right, it was a perfect situation for him to step into for those reasons, as well as the way the schedule softened and they had the bye week to rest up a bit.

even though they probably lose to Indy this week, they should St Louis, Miami, and Seattle and worst case, Vince finishes the season 8-2 as the starting QB and 90210 will go wild.

I've made no claim Collins that Collins has been good or as good at managing drives.

You just said Vince was better and now you are saying there is so much evidence of it, yet unwilling to show it.

of course, with you, you'd rather lol blake instead of back up your statements so I'm not really expecting anything except for you to melt down and go troll mode.
