I am watching TUF as we speak and I am assuming Marcus looses? I guess next time I shouldn't look at this thread when most of you are two hours ahead of me!!!
Yeah, I caught myself feeling sorry for him. Mc bag had me wanting to jump through the screen..
You can't take the guy lightly, that's for sure.. He may be a complete tool and someone it's seemingly impossible to root for, but the combination of his hands and Marcus' upright approach could be bad news..
There was a point early where I was starting to warm up to 'Shad a little bit, but that time has passed..
'Page better stop in' around and whoop that B. A. Barac-ass..
Agree.
Man, if only Marcus would have come to the sport in his late 20's. The guy has so much composure and purpose in his movement on the ground, and just a really good overall feel there; they said he's been doing it for what, 2 years?![]()
He's got that explosiveness in bursts you find in NFL-types and just a really good demeanor in the octagon. If he had started earlier with his standup with how much of a natural he seems to be on the ground, he could have been one of a fighter; I really hope we see an utter dismantling or disassembling when it comes to Mitrione. That was a of a showing in the 'Schooner fight, though..
I felt pretty ty right after the Marcus loss, but then the promo came.. I'm absolutely jacked for the Finale; put up or shut up time for Kimbo. He's got the standup matchup he wanted and it's time to see if those hands really are worthy of being feared.
Anyone else find it strange how Edgar is always just lurking on the fringe of TUF. He doesn't make the house for the first season, but he almost feels like part of the fraternity in a way..

Dana is part of the problem. Which is why i really don't care for him. He makes too much of this stuff about him. From what i have read and seen, Page is really pissed off that Dana apparently over the phone with Page, agreed to postpone the fight and Page's decision to make the movie, (begrudging I'm sure) but agreed and then he turned around and did a bunch of interviews making fun of him and his decision to make the movie. I even heard a radio interview Dana did where he was asked "If he would consider cutting Page from the UFC" and he said "I'm not there yet, who knows" "Who knows, not yet" You bet Page heard that because a few days later he ranted on his blog telling Dana to go screw himself and that he was done. Was Page wrong to bail on the fight for the movie? Yes but all he wanted was a delay. Dana as usual opened his big mouth, acted like a 10 year old, threw a hissy fit and now we have this mess.
Dana's not a fighter. I could care less about any personal beef he has with any fighter on any level. He should be on his hands and knees begging Page to return. Why? Because he is a great fighter and he and Evans was going to be a huge fight. All this other stuff is worthless.. The only thing that matters is the fights..
Phew
End Rant
I couldnt stand McSweeney............Im so glad the MOON belly pounded his ass out. JM talked a lot of , and couldnt back a damn thing up. What a .
Good show for what has been a pretty boring season.
this is a problem they run into and I am not judging you here...
1. Exciting season means cool drama and crazy . This pisses off the die hard fan (which is a rather small group) and makes many potential fighters wary of joining a later season so they don't look bad.
2. Boring seasons means loads of training and more focus on fighters & fighting which pleases fighters & die hards but makes that giant group of common fans kinda bored.
IMO the solution is to have a TUF every 9 to 12 months. They are too close together now.
This is the first season I've ever watched. I liked it, but was astonished at how ty everyone's conditioning was.
No doubt, Dana's bag factor is off the charts..
There's little doubt in my mind that Dana didn't make a bad situation worse and play his part in the fiasco that's become 'Page-'Shad; I just wish 'Page would have said it all and found a way to get this done in light of this TUF season.
I'm sure it'll get done eventually, but 'Page was in the wrong to back out after making a commitment; as is Dana who's doing nothing to really help the situation, as you rightly pointed out.
It's really quite amazing that someone like Dana can be the frontman for an organization, much less thrive in the way he's doing so..
Yeah I was really suprised to see how well compe ors in previous seasons have done in the UFC because of how poor some of these guys looked in the ring.
Its my understanding that they get better between the last episode and the finale due to lots of training but god damn they show signs but look fairly poor in my (new to mma) opinion.
Also, on Zak, how the is someone like that into fighting? I don't understand how such a big pussy or someone who is so insecure puts himself into a ring to fight. I'm amazed to see someone like that on this show.
Also, why didn't he just go home? He lost and wasn't going to fight again so just go home and save yourself the grief. Don't understand that dude at all.
It's like this - this season was all about Kimbo. He was the main draw, the ratings-getter. With his low level of skill they had to bring in a lot of other low-level guys. They had to give him a decent chance of winning - if he gets knocked out of the compe ion early or just looks really bad the show loses viewers, which is why even after he lost they kept up the teasers about him making a comeback. A lot of the fighters from the earlier seasons are doing so well because they are much better than these fighters - aside from Roy Nelson (and possibly Schaub), we probably won't see any of the guys from this season in the UFC again.
In about 5 interviews since when the Page situation has come up Dana usually says something like "Page has left for now, he's mad at me and i am really mad at him too, in fact i'm disgusted" Dana nobody cares that you are mad at a fighter but you. Nobody.. That's why i think he still doesn't get it. o was out of the UFC mainly because Dana hated him and they could not be in the same room together. Now Page is out for now due largely to a Dana White Beef. It's moronic and Unnecessary..
He's announced that he's returning. I'll laugh my ass off if Rashad beats him.
Well I don't know but he was there in rashards crew when Rashard was fighting Machida
Good that Marcus went down. I kinda liked ghim but he got pissed about a situation when rashard did not selected him for the fight then the 'balls' piece of art and then jumping over mitthead ? For no reason.
And seriously wow - I wonder how is that possible that rampage did not sell a cross to rashards face. Just wow.
Awesome now Rashad gets his ass kicked by Silva and Page..
Im still shocked they didnt do anything to that . He clearly instigated a fight and got away with it. Since the UFC is so popular for the brits I know they want as many brit fighters as possible even if they are all assholes. Well except for that one guy..........."Im a gladiator". It was Ross right?
