VY and Tebow are definitely in it. And after becoming the winningest QB in NCAA history, McCoy probably would be in it with a NT win, too.

Dude..McCoy is a beast. I'll always have a soft spot for Vince and he'll probably always be my favorite for bringing Texas back to the top, but McCoy is better, IMO. Gilbert will be good, but he's no McCoy, man...

Four years ago you were probably saying the same thing about VY/Colt.

    I don't know about that.

Do you think Colt could have done what VY did against USC? No way. Colt's a better passer, but VY was the best college QB ever. No QB ever could singlehandedly take-over and dominate games the way VY was able to. Thats why I still would take him over Tebow as well. Tebow is great, but he doesnt just dominate games the way VY would, and has a much more gimmicky system to benefit from. Basically, it's easier to find a gameplan to stop McCoy or Tebow than it is for Vince.

That's a great argument, stretch. It actually kinda made me think about it a bit. You might be right.

I just think there are too many variables in the college game to form a consensus at the QB position. There are probably 10-15 QBs who you could legitimately argue that deserve to be included in the top 5.

Plus, what do you do with small school, lower division guys like Neil Lomax and Steve McNair who absolutely obliterated everyone they played?

Tommie Frazier >> Colt or Tebow

He was even the MVP in the NC game in the loss against Charlie Ward and Fla St.

Hard to compare a lot of college players because the ones that have pro potential usually leave early.

Even though Vince had maybe the best season ever as a QB, Frazier had the better overall college career.

or guys like Detmer who get dinged because of the system they played in.

IMO Tebow gets overrated as because of the NC that Chris Leak won for Florida.

How can you say Tommie Frazier had a better college career than Colt McCoy has? In what insane way can you back that up?
