No, it doesn't. It just proves the system worked. Florida lost in their conference le game and now they won't be playing for the natinoal championship. Simple as that.
lol, the system blows. Alabama/Texas (in all likelihood) will likely crown the best team in the nation (Alabama) but you can't tell me teams like TCU and Cincinnati and Boise State don't at least deserve a shot.

I've noticed you immediately resort to name calling and talking when you can't support your argument.
The bottom line is Texas and Alabama are going to be playing for the National Championship. It's the most legit matchup and the biggest money maker. How you drew the conclusion that the SEC le game meant the system failed is beyond me. I don't think it's a breakdown of the system for a #1 team minus a big gun to lose to a #2 team on neutral ground. Alabama played great, give them credit and move on.
I honestly don't mind a playoff but the people who cry "the system failed" when it so clearly didn't just come across as whiners, not as unbiased critics.

I seriously don't see why people want a playoff so badly. What is it going to prove? Everone knows the Giants weren't the best team in 08 super bowl and the steelers probably weren't the best team last year either.
Teams are still going to get left out and be bithcing about it, as will there fans. Teams will get a matchup they don't like and will about it. Good teams/better teams will still lose to teams they should have beat. etc etc
I'm not saying the BCS is perfect or even the best, but a playoff system is not the cure all that everyone thinks it will be. Even if they did switch, I wouldn't give it two years before people start crying and complaining and wanting some other format.
Plus I won't be able to watch all those awesome Frank's used auto parts bowl's that start in like 2 days.

Exactly, the dudes who get left out, be it no 7, 9 etc are going to and moan even more so. Instead of having no 3 cry we will have no's 7+ crying.
Plus, outside the top 6 everyone has two losses. Two losses does not deserve a shot at the le.
