when you base ur around a ot name froddo and a ring = fail
everything else about the movie was great besides that turd....
another series i hate was POTC, i only like it cause of jonny depp as jack sparrow and his adventures, while the rest of the cast i couldnt care less.....

I never laughed harder at a movie in the theaters than I did at Borat, but on DVD i haven't even made it through the whole movie in one sitting. The replay value of Borat is terrible IMO.

Although I could probably make my top 10 tomorrow and have 10 different movies on the list.
Surprised to see FOTR on there. I always thought Two Towers was the best of the bunch. The first took a solid hour to get really going anywhere and the third could have been a good 20 minutes shorter. Two Towers managed to feel well constructed and tight despite it's length.
I really don't have much to offer by way of a list. While the decade certainly put out a decent number of winners I haven't seen many of them that are making the lists like this one that are popping up everywhere as the decade winds down.
Since I tend to watch movies for escapism and/or schmaltz instead of cinematic quality, I can't talk much about top 10. I tend to avoid movies that may be critically acclaimed and magnificent but depress me. Interesting list though.
Good list... but IMHO "Lost in Translation" is rated a bit too high...
LOTR should be respected alone for simply converting one of the most popular book series of all human history into film. In order to do that you had to get through the foundation which was slimmed down anyways. LOTR must be viewed all as one movie when ranking it.
The Wedding Crashers is ing hilarious. It's replay value is insane.

It is always a debate for me to stop playing a video game to watch a movie. Movies, by and large, suck major ass when compared to even the worst video game, for me anyway.
You might be right. Now that I'm looking at the list the next day, I'd probably knock it a few spots down.
You're right about Borat. I tend to rate comedies based on how funny they were the first time I saw them, rather than replay value. Otherwise, I've seen Burn After Reading like 5 times even though it wasn't as hilarious and socially relevant as Borat.
And I had a hard-as- time keeping Children of Men, No Country for Old Men, and the Departed out of my Top 10 list. The more I look at the list, the more I want to change it.

im pretty serious about top 10 list too, there will be blood sucked ass, i guess if you like long boring snail-paced movies with a main character with a ed up annoying as raspy country-irish american accent, about 17 year old preachers and the oil business that drag on and on and have one murder, despite being called there will be blood- its good
and thats a load of movies to list without listing american psycho or apocalypto, my top 2
