to watch Pop develop Matt Bonner and make him comfortable in the Spurs offense.
Go Spurs Go!
matt bonner. lmfao....
yeah great game last night red rocket... lets see how far the spurs get riding his back.
ing joke.
Move over TP. This is now Bonner's team.
"I don't care too much for money, for money can't buy me love.."
Signed: Peter Holt
Bonner earned his role in last night's game.
I am starting to get the feeling that you are less than pleased with the way the Spurs conduct business.
WOW! so im guessing were relying on Bonner to help us contend for a le.
NICE LOL
Lol, Its Not Lookin Good.... But we Still have Time..
yeah uts certainly looking that way atm
Are you actually from grey forest?
I keep thinking SequSpur is Culburn
It's pretty obvious at this point that any chance we have at a le rests in the yet-to-be-unleashed ability of Matt Bonner. the rest of this team, except for maybe Blair and Hill, have not lived up to their hype, and do not look able to deliver a championship.
It's all up to Bonner now... (and Blair and Hill)
and Bogans..... I forgot to mention him.
You don't need $70M, Pop will do it for free.
Here is the problem: Bonner's success comes at the expense of the Spurs success. ST loves it when he hits 3's and all of a sudden the past is forgotten and Matt Bonner was the solution to all of our problems all along. The thing is, his 3's comes at a heavy expense.
He is too weak to play power forward as he falls over most instances of contact. When he is not blowing defensive assignments by himself, he does it inadvertently for other players when he fails to switch over on screens (which happened many times last night) and when his confusion blocks other players and causes general confusion.
He is doing a better job at grabbing offensive rebounds but we would all be disillusioned to believe we will get past the 1st round with Bonner playing 30 minutes a game.
And this goes back to Pop's deeper problem of being so dependent on his X's and O's to an extreme extent instead of letting the best talent play.
Matt Bonner driving to the basket for the game winning shot? Pathetic.
He'll be a genius if he actually wins a le playing Matt Bonner 30 minutes a game.
And a stupid idiot for even trying.
Pretty good post.
I've been saying for weeks that as good as Matt Bonner plays offensively when he can hit some shots it still can't make up for what we lose on the other end, or the confidence other teams get with him on the court.
bonner has been pretty good for the last few games
he aint afraid to put up the shots if you look at every time he receives the ball from the outlet extra pass....
but at leasts his turnin up unlike the rest of the team
exactly.
Bonner is da ! I saw offense and defense from him the other day. He was leading in points and was on fire. You all are surprised that Pops let him take that shot. For christ sakes he barely missed it. It bounced out of the rim, it's not like he air balled it or took a final shot affter missing shots all night. It's still early in the season and I'm sure if any other player was having that kind of night coach would draw up a play for them. He might not be the best player we have, but gawd damn he is a hustler and a big man that spreads the floor.
I have some faith in this ginger. . . HA!
SPUUUUUUUURS! ! !
