I didn't find Borat amusing.
Yeah I've seen it. Not bad, just not anything special IMO.
I didn't find Borat amusing.
I know it's an off-beat choice, but "The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarter" was fantastic. Hilarious, and I almost cheered at the end...almost.
Also, yes, City of God was a really good one. Just mad at myself for waiting so long to see it.
yeah... that movie i couldn't even sit through it, damn
doesn't help that I think adam sandler needs to stick to his ty comedy movies.
his last decent one was...? billy madison? i dont even know
hahaha, yeah that was funny.
From a cinematography stand point, it's probably one of the most beautifully shot movies I've ever seen.
Even if one doesn't feel it's a top ten movie, it's certainly worth honorable mention for the visuals alone.
Public Enemies was okay.
V for Vendetta really?
In no particular order:
Amores Perros
Lord of the Rings
Spirited Away
No Country for Old Men
Capote
In the Bedroom
Atonement

5. There Will be Blood
6. Crash
7. Million Dollar Baby
8. Munich
9. Borat
10. Notorious

My list. Keep in mind I am a career stoner and some of these choices may or may not be influenced by their infinite rewatch potential if watched with a bong and some fine smokeable. Honorable mention to Across the Universe which is a decent movie on its own but an all-time great if watched with a head full of acid.
1. The Departed
2. Across the Universe
3. Pineapple Express
4. No Country for Old Men
5. Mystic River
6. Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story

Agreed. Was actually pretty upset w/ HOW upset I got w/ that one (daddy issues).
I liked Spanglish, too.

I have no intention of making my own list because I'll get obsessive and give it way more time than I really have to give... but... I will say that I can't take any of these lists seriously until I see The Proposition somewhere.
City of God
Little Miss Sunshine
Planet Terror
Death Proof
Rambo
Superbad
40 Year-Old Virgin
No Country for Old Men was the most overrated thing I have seen since Fargo.
You have to be a mavfan to have the departed #1 on your list.
I know... it sucked.I didn't find Borat amusing.
the fact that many here have it on their Top Ten of the Decade list.... shows their level of intelligence.

Crap, I thought that was made in the 90s. That's right behind City of God for my favorite movie of the decade now that I found out it was made in 2001.
