This was bad for Tiger from the get go. This story would not have died had he come clean....at least not yet. The first interview has to be nailed first.
I admit that I don't like that this has happened but he has nobody to blame but himself.

not his fault. beavers love wood.
LOL Gatorade dropped him? Sheeeeut. The dude could play golf at that level AND keep a wife and 10 girlfriends satisfied? , every guy is gonna want some of that stuff...
Isn't the drink just called "Tiger"?
whats the slogan? "It's what's IN you?"
I wonder if he used that as a pickup line![]()
Yes they have - but they said the decision was made before the scandal broke.
UPDATE: A representative for Gatorade has confirmed that the company has dropped Tiger Woods' drink but says its "partnership" with the golfer will continue. The rep told RadarOnline.com: "Our partnership with Tiger does continue. Tiger and his family have our support as he works through his private matter."
Gatorade has dropped Tiger Woods' sports drink.
It’s the first major endorsement loss for the golfer in the wake of his cheating scandal and bizarre one-car crash.
Gatorade released a statement Tuesday saying the move to discontinue its “Tiger Focus” drink had nothing to do with the golfer’s growing scandal and that the decision was made before Tiger’s car crash and allegations of extra marital affairs.
In a statement to CNBC, Gatorade officials said: “We decided several months ago to discontinue Gatorade Tiger Focus along with some other products to make room for our planned series of innovative products in 2010. We hope to share more about our 2010 plans soon.”
Damn it Tiger!
They decided to drop that drink long before this situation developed, which is what I meant.
He'll still be pimping for Gatorade once this blows over.
Wow..........perfect timing for them to drop the news.![]()
Tiger dropped his pants at the wrong time, at the wrong place and with the wrong woman....err, women.
Actually, they dropped the news the day before Thanksgiving.
So yeah, it was perfect timing.
I don't know. His wife (Mirka) follows him everywhere. Mirka is not the most attractive woman, so I awsume Roger married for Love. And, theyve been together since he was 18.
WTF??? I just read in that article that Gatorade said they werent dropping Tiger days before his incident............now they say they are dropping him? ...... which you say was decided before Thanksgiving? OK.....![]()
Sounds to me like Tiger took Ambien to help him sleep. Then, he got awakened by his very mad wife and ended up running out and trying to drive away while on this medication. It was, after all, 2:30 AM or so. It would explain why he seemed semi-conscious, as opposed to his wife beating him semi-conscious.
As for the women, you can bet some of these women thought they were the only one. They kept quiet for so long. Now, others have been made public, and they are all coming out of the woodwork--some for their chance for 15 minutes of fame and others to get their "revenge" on Tiger.
latest chapter....
supposedly one of his exes is shopping naked pics of tiger to Playgirl
they're trying to verify if they are real.
this stuff is getting increasingly weirder
awesome we will finally be able to tell if tiger is more black or more asian
They are dropping the drink named after Tiger, not cutting ties with him, and that decision as made before this mess unfolded.
They still plan to work with the guy and have been firm with that position.Critics might say that Gatorade is just reacting to the recent news, but industry trade Beverage Digest actually reported the discontinuation of the Gatorade Tiger Focus line on Nov. 25, two days before the accident occurred.
Repeatedly.
No the reason it hasn't gone away is because most people out there are obsessed with people they will never meet. Its Jon and ing Kate all over again but at least Tiger has done something to be a celebrity other than have a load of kids.
The nation gets its collective jollies off to this kind of . I don't understand why, but it does. Its so ing stupid to sit there and say "if he'd only admit it" as if he actually owes the rest of you waiting for the next bit of info anything. That is some bull people spew to make it seem as though their obsession with the marriage of some guy they'll never meet and surely never know is actually OK.
Bravo.
The average Joe thinks their life sucks so badly that they get their jollies when others around them fail. I have no idea how else the tabloid industry continues to survive in a supposedly educated and modern society. America has an inferiority complex on both the national and individual levels
Most people can look no further than their own family if they want marriage drama so badly. I wish this story would die so the front headlines in the paper and online wasn't about some rich guy's marriage. Imagine if an alien landed on earth and was told our top story was about a bunch of s sleeping with a billionaire golfer. Pathetic, but its not like it is a new phenomenon.
In fairness...The story stays in the news because it is all so disturbing…Famous squeaky clean athlete gets clubbed like a baby seal by model wife…Gloria Alred gets in the act & grabs her pound of flesh…Other girlfriends cant wit to tell their stories about sexual encounters & ambient usage…Many of them have saved text’s & phone calls for evidence…
The point is these rich celebrities need to learn the importance of choosing the right mistress…If Tiger was seeing a 40 year old woman who just wanted to get out of the house now & then & have a spinach salad & a couple of mimosa’s none of this would be in the news…
Geez Manny - you seem to have a lot of anger lately. Your post in the "What do you like about the holiday" thread was filled with anger and now this one about Tiger.
My point was that there wouldn't be any news for the tabloid shows to focus on if Tiger had handled this differently from the start.
They dropped the drink named after Tiger, but they didn't they didn't end their contract with him. That drink tasted like anyway.
And Manny's point was that there wouldn't be any tabloid shows to focus on this story if not for our disgusting obsession with the personal lives of celebrities. It's a valid point.
