I was at my apartment off northwest hwy and a buddy of mine called me. He told me the news and I kinda wasn't surprised that he died, but........... I was surprised how he died. I thought it would've been from natural causes given his lifestyle. It didn't really hit me until I went to the memorial they had for him in Arlington. Man there was a lot of people there. The whole parking reeked of dope. Practically every song of pantera was blaring from all the car stereos at one time. It was pretty sad. Eddie van Halen was pretty sloshed when he tried to speak. Zakk Wylde was babysitting him and almost punched Eddie 'cause he was acting pretty stupid. I know I'll be having a few black tooth grins today.

He was an amazing talent and dude. He was the only cool one of the group. Always approachable when I ran into him. Too bad this didn't land on a weekend. Me and some buds of mine might to out to his grave and pay our respects. Never been.
