Nice, we've fallen. Understandable though. I hope people continue to overlook this team, a serious juggernaut in progress.
NBA power rankings: Dec. 13, 2009
Mike Monroe
TOP 10
(Last rank in parentheses)
1. Lakers (1): Kobe breaks a finger on shooting hand but continues playing in Friday win; soon to be known as “Lefty.”
2. Celtics (3): Scary thing about 9-game win streak: They’re getting injured players back — first T. Allen; soon, Big Baby
3. Hawks (6): Combined score of two games vs. Toronto this season: Hawks 257, Raptors 204. Yikes!
4. Nuggets (2): Karl on seldom-used Anthony Carter: “We’ve definitely got the best third point guard in basketball.”
5. Magic (4): Lewis pulls a Carmelo, refuses to re-enter game in Utah; Van Gundy: “It was no big deal.”
6. Cavaliers (5): LeBron’s in-game audition for “Dancing with the Stars” irks Bulls’ Noah; Yo, Joakim: Keep score closer.
7. Mavericks (7): Early morning incident begs question: What’s Tim Thomas doing in Denny’s at 3a.m.?
8. Rockets (11): Elias Sports Bureau makes it official: Chuck Hayes is shortest starting center in NBA history.
9. Suns (8): Friday win over Magic kept home record perfect. They’re last team without a home loss.
10. Jazz (9): The big news Saturday: Hot Rod Hundley’s return as broadcaster, but for Lakers, not Jazz.

Sloppy Spurs deserve to be out of the top 10. I hope they polish their game and lower the TOs the next few games.
Seconded.
