Just kobe being kobe.....it's a lot rarer now, but he still occasionally reverts to ball-hog mode. He should know better - he got much better players surrounding him now.

Kobe's demons will always be toward the surface. He's not a contented person. You can see that win or lose. He thought ringin' without Daddy would make still the roiling, but, he was mistaken. So, when he is resisted, (in game) or (injury) he responds with angst & aggression. It's petulance and rank immaturity and the wounds of Colorado.

This is the kind of game where I question all the talk about Kobe's great b-ball IQ...and the coaching staff's for that matter. The Lakers have two bigs that can pretty much score when they want. They should have been tag-teaming Gasol and Bynum on Utah's undersized interior defense all night instead of jacking up three after three.
