I think they have equally good defenses, and UT has the better line, and star in Sergio Kindle.

texas is more complete on defense, better special teams and has the better qb, bama is going to need to make colt play like joel olsteen and that does happen. texas might have a weak spot in KO coverage but alabama is much worse statistically
naturally if colt has one turnover or less and Arenas doesnt blow up i think texas wins
Alabama has a MUCH better defense than Texas. That will be the difference.

Regardless of what foreignborn faux texans in this forum imply, this is going to be a very close tough game. Bama has a consistent runbased offense. We have an offense that can blow theirs away on some nights and be totally anemic on others.

Texas has a better D? I'd give that edge to Bama. McClain is better than any player on either D. And Cody's probably second. I think Bama's going to win, but I wouldn't be surprised to see UT win, cause Bama's O can just go anemic. So can UT's, but their O is still a lot better.

Ok...if you look at the end of the season, Texas played TWO ranked teams and Alabama played THREE. Still, I don't see where Alabama is that much better.

Beanie Wells was bigger and stronger than Ingram and we held him to like 20 yards in the second half. As long as we can not miss any tackles, and we come out swingin, I like our chances. This game is going to be decided by 7 points or less though.
Hopefully we stop using the god damn Rugby punt, if we continue to use it then I can very well seeing "Alabama roll tide"
I may never understand this. Both teams beat everyone they played. Neither looked fantastic in every contest. Their opponents were there to win, not just roll over because UT or Bama had a shiny little number in front of the school's name on the ESPN ticker.
You need some luck to win 13 in a row. Both teams got it. Rocky Top is probably lighting up SEC forums over how beatable Bama is. , Cincy and TCU squeaked out games. I'd rather my school face a little adversity than pummel someone every week. How else do you prepare to play another undefeated team?
Yeah, Texas caught breaks. I've been around when we couldn't catch one to save our collective asses. I'll take 13-0 and a le game slot over winning pretty and having the nation cream their tightey whities over being a juggernaut. If the Horns win none of this matters anyway.
