Has Gentry picked up the nuances of the Suns offense yet? Has he channeled D'Antoni?

Barbosa is also out. I expect Gentry to start Dudley, and to play him for 40+ minutes.Suns' Richardson questionable against Spurs

PHOENIX - Phoenix Suns shooting guard Jason Richardson injured his right hand on Saturday night against the Denver Nuggets and is questionable for Tuesday night's game against the San Antonio Spurs.
Richardson hurt his shooting hand when he jammed it into a Nugget while playing defense.
At practice on Monday Richardson's hand was wrapped and he did not participate.
"It's a day-to-day thing," Richardson said.
Richardson had X-Rays taken on Monday morning and they came back negative.
With Leandro Barbosa already out nursing an ankle injury the Suns are limited at the shooting guard position.
Head coach Alvin Gentry did not tip his hand as to what the Suns would do if Richardson is not able to go.
"We have a lot of confidence in our guys on the bench and if [Richardson] can't go we'll have to have someone else step up," Gentry said.
Jared Dudley and Goran Dragic could see more minutes or Alando Tucker - who has only played in eight games and has not played in more than 12 minutes in any game.
Has Gentry picked up the nuances of the Suns offense yet? Has he channeled D'Antoni?

I thought you quit on the Spurs already? I mean, I thought you *REALLY* knew who the Spurs were...![]()
What's your take on this? Do you still think the suns can beat the spurs tomorrow?
An even bigger reason for us to win this game.
Swing, and a hit!
This certainly puts the Suns at a disadvantage. The offense has been slumping lately, and this only makes things worse. We'll need big games from Hill and Frye in order to win. As long as Nash and Stoudemire have decent games, the Suns will compete until the end.
The Suns have won 17 straight home games, so winning in Phoenix is not easy.
Injured teams are always the worst to play... seen it over and over in this league.
bonner>frye oh yea![]()
That's what everyone is saying. I'm actually looking forward to that matchup.![]()
Dood that commercial in your sig is so sexy

Spurs catch a break in Phoenix?
By Jeff McDonald
As we wrote in this morning's dead-tree edition of the E-N, tonight's game at Phoenix should be a tough measuring stick for the Spurs.
The Suns have won 17 in a row at home, dating to last season. They have scored 100 points or more in 35 consecutive home games. They are 5-0 this season and averaging 113 points on two days' rest.
However, the Spurs might wind up catching a bit of a break in the Valley of the Suns.
Phoenix could be without each of it's regular shooting guards tonight.
Leandro Barbosa will miss his eighth consecutive game tonight with a sprained left ankle. Meanwhile, Jason Richardson is listed as questionable with a sprained right hand suffered Saturday night in Denver.
Richardson, the Suns' third-leading scorer at 16.1 points per game, did not practice Monday. He is likely to be a game-time decision.
They heard I was going to be in the building. I don't blame them for running scared.
Injuries, spinjuries. Blah, blah, blah.
This does concern me actually. The team will need to stay focused on the goal despite who Phoenix has on the floor. That goal being to win for me.
I think Richardson will be out there tonight.
At least I hope so, given the propensity for teams to let down a bit when starters are missing. I think the Spurs would prefer Richardson be out there and play. They want a true run at these guys.
Barbosa's been out awhile so no surprises there.
I hate that. I'd prefer take them fully healthy. It's always tricky to take a team without an important piece especially the first game, the rest of the team is more focus, the whole team will be more involved in attack. Look at the Pacers playing without granger they fought untill the end against orlando, 4 min to go in the 4th and it was a tie game at Orlando home.
For me it is a bad news: if we loose huge meltdown cauz of beating by a - richardson suns team, if we win it will be win but because richardson was missing.
Barbosa usually plays like crap against the Spurs.
Yeah no . Pinche chankla!
damm I wish I got tickets
thought work would be crazy maybe next time we can meet
Richardson "Likely" To Play For Suns Tonight
Jason Richardson banged up his shooting hand Saturday in Denver when he jammed into the torso of a Nuggets player which bent back several fingers. The team officially called it a mild sprain and it kept him out of yesterday's team practice with swelling, discomfort and limited mobility.
Today at shoot-around before the Suns play the Spurs Jason said this about his hand, "Hey, I'm going to play. I don't sit out unless I can't walk. So, most likely I'm going to be playing."
I hope Roger Mason, Jr gets more than a cameo off the bench. There is really no reason we need Keith Bogans out there tonight for extended minutes, especially with Richardson not playing / banged up.
The suns are going to score points in bunches and the spurs are going to need to get 110+ to win.
