Now I'm dissapointed... For one second there, I thought we were going to have a fun and sophisticated conversation. U started pretty well, and when you were called to up your game, you failed...kind of like the guy you are defending... now that's irony

Maybe because it marked the end of Peyton choking in postseason games and the beginning of the end of the Pats dynasty?

Tell me Peyton has put up a choke worthy performance in any postseason game following that one and I will call you a liar, sir.

Probably how Peyton losing to the Chargers two years in a row exclusively due to Freeney being on IR in the first game and Super Jew officiating in OT of the second one qualifies as him choking.

JT you can't be serious!!! What has he done in the postseason after that game? I won't call you a liar, just a blind homer.

I'm sorry, I didn't know playing well and losing qualifies as choking now. Guess I didn't get the memo. Where's Amarelooms when you need him?

And if Peyton's last two postseasons qualify as choking I'd like to know what you consider Brady's last four seasons.

  15. #40
it's actually the same thing on the Broncos board I post on..

there was like 2 Chargers fans posting all year..when we beat them, it stayed the same..after they started making their run and beat us, there was literally like 20 of them that started posting..

they do this every year, it's what Chargers fans are known for..

First of all, let me say that I respect and admire Peyton for his talent and leadership qualities. I think he's a better all around QB than Brady, but for some reasons he has a weak mental in the postseason. When everything is on the line. But don't worry his stats and regular season excellence will get him to canton. Those things I stated are facts. I just felt the need to say this before it became a Brady vs Manning trolling thing.

Now, for the sake of smack talk...

That year (2006) you're so proud of him for ending his choking career, he threw only 3TD and 7INT and his QB rating was always under 82. (you can throw that stat out of the window because I don't trust stats with weak formulas, I just gave it to you to keep you informed. Your defense won the game against BAL, and Rex won you the SB.

In 2007, he was one and done as always. He had homefield, a injured chargers' team and without that punk LT.

In 2008, he didn't have homefield but how can you lose to an 8-8 team. That's mavs territory right there. He managed only 17 points against one of the worst secondary that year in the regular season.

I'll stop there, because that was your question. I think we all agree he was a choker before 2006 (college included) and my task was to prove you he's still a choker after 2006.

By the way, for some reasons, he's clutch in the regular season.

if winning A game is too much to ask...
But again I'm not surprised from a Peyton Manning fan.
My friend is a Jaguar fan and is bragging that they sold out their last 2 games (MIA and the upcoming IND). (Even though the phins game was mostly MIA fans.)
My point is, everything depends on what your expectations are.

So the Colts owe their Super Bowl to great defense and playing the ty Bears, while the Patriots owe their three Super Bowls to Adam Vinatieri and the Spygate cameras. I don't know what point you're trying to prove here. Yeah, early in his career Manning was awful in the postseason. Recently he has done everything he can to put the team in position to win and been let down by the defense, receivers dropping good throws, or jewish officiating. The 2007 Colts team was without Freeney and couldn't put pressure on the QB. The 2008 team was jewed by the refs in overtime quite possibly due to the worst officiating the NFL has seen since the Tuck Rule or possibly Super Bowl XL. Neither were Manning's fault. The only thing you could really pin on Manning is failing to convert a 3rd and 2 pass play that would have allowed them to run out the clock, but even then I blame Dungy for that because it should have been a run.

Fair enough. Everybody gets thrown under the bus. WRS, Defense, Coach, Refs... but Manning.
    I rest my case.

By the way, if we owe 3SB to Vinatieri, now that you have him, you would have 3 by now, isn't it....
And spygate,... JT you're better than that. You don't want me to call Mono so he can chant the CHEATRIOTS, BELICHEAT

You're a blind homer, fair enough. I thought you were a pragmatic fan of the game, or even a fan of the colts. But by throwing the whole team under the bus to save Manning, you just proved that you are a Peyton fan... Not that there is anything wrong with it

And you're trying to say he choked when he didn't. In the playoff games he was getting blown out by the Jets and Patriots, walking off the field after throwing picks with that "Why is this happening to me???" look on his face, yes, he was choking then. In 2007 against the Chargers he had over 300 yards and 3 TDs. That's choking? It's like you're saying Manning should have gone out there and played DE in Freeney's place and done just as good a job. Also in that game Harrison had a red zone fumble which occurred well after he caught the ball. I'm sure that was Manning's fault too.

I'm trying to prop up Manning because I am a Colts fan and you're trying to bring him down because you're a bitter, butthurt Patriots fan who loses sleep at night knowing your team put Super Bowl rings on the hands of the Manning brothers. Thread over. If Manning plays like and costs the Colts a chance at a Super Bowl this year, I will be the first one to call him out on it. What you are insinuating right now is about on the same level as saying it was Tim Duncan's fault the Spurs lost to the Mavs last year.

You might have a better chance at getting an answer if you ask in the eight hour window following the next Chargers win.
