If all players in the league with more than 30 years would be 5 years younger, who'd win the league?

Another bet at work, my pick is celts, buddy's is spurs.

I don't think there's any conclusion that can be drawn, as a fair amount of players wouldn't be on their current team if 5 years younger. For example, Rasheed and Finley would be making significantly more money and thus not on their current rosters. Would a Marbury type character be wanted if 5 years younger?

    Too many hypotheticals.

Young Duncan, Manu, McDyess, Finley and Ratliff (He would be the starting center) + Tony, RJ, Blair, Hill, Bonner, Mason.

    Spurs easily, IMO.

Are we also assuming no injuries or what?

Lakers, Spurs, and Celtics would be the 3 best.

    Lakers:

    Fisher - 30 years old
    Kobe - 26 years old (35.4PPG/5.3RPG/4.5APG)
Artest - coming off his best offensive year (24.6/6.4/3.1) and still in his defensive prime
    Pau - Only 29
    Bynum - Only 22

    Odom - averaged a 15 & 10 that season

    Celtics:

    Rondo - Only 23
Ray Allen - 23.9/4.4/3.7 and the best player on his team
    Paul Pierce - 21.6/6.6/4.2
KG - 22.2/13.5/5.7 basically in his prime
Sheed - 14 & 8 but physically in his prime and that particular season he was at least somewhat motivated

    Spurs:

    Le Pew - Only 27
Manu - 16.0/4.4/3.9 should've won finals MVP and was still a game changer
    Richard Jefferson - Only 29
Tim Duncan - 20 & 11 in what had been the fewest minutes/game of his career.
    Antonio Mcdyess - 9 & 6 in 23 MPG. Averaged out to 35 minutes that's a 13 & 9

Finley - 15 and 4 and could still jump

You're forgetting Ratliff, he would play a big role on that team. And Manu's regular season numbers doesn't do him justice, he was easily a top 10-15 player that season.

I looked at Ratliff's numbers and was wavering on including him. It was his first full season in Portland and he only played 63 games (started 45). He averaged 27.5 minutes a game and the only stat that needs mentioning is his 2.5 blocks per game. I think Mcdyess would have a bigger affect on the team.

He's never been a top 20 player. Stop making things up.

I'd probably go with Boston. Pierce would be 27, Ray Ray would be 29, Sheed would be 30, and KG would be 28. They'd also have an advantage cause the two other hypothetically beastly teams (LA and SA) would be in the same conference and Boston would have an easier road to the finals.

Boston at face value would be sick and the faves ...but in reality that team would of lacked the chemistry of SA or LA (though Ron would of been wilder than as well)

Why do you think they'd lack chemistry? Maybe Pierce would be a problem, but I don't see Sheed, Allen or KG as players who ever caused problems. IMO they be as willing to sacrifice personal stats for a championship as they are now.

Boston easily. Pierce, Garnett, Ray were All-NBA material and Sheed was in his prime.

5 years ago, Ray Allen led the Seattle Supersonics to 52 wins. Are you saying Manu would have been able to lead that team to more wins?

5 years ago, Paul Pierce led the Boston Celtics to 45 wins. Are you saying Manu would have been able to lead them to more wins?
