I picked 5 LBJs because he has the size to go inside, outside/mid range shooting. The size to guard most players and if shaq is there another LBJ can just come over to double while the other 3 LBJs scramble.

I see a lot of people choosing bigs, but what about getting back on D vs fast teams?

5 Chris Webbers would make for an interesting team. Perimeter skills not as good as Magic or LeBron, but more than adequate, he's a really good passer, can go in the low post and high post, and is a good jump shooter up to 20-22 feet.

Magic or LeBron probably still a better choice, but Chris Webber's versatile game does deserve some mention.

i hate saying it, but i kinda agree. lebron is not very good without the ball in his hands. he needs to learn how to move around without the ball a little better.

We have no idea how good Lebron is without the ball in his hands since he's never had a teammate who can effectively manage ball handling duties. I don't see why Lebron wouldn't be effective as someone who could play off another player as a cutter, if anything that'd be less wear and tear on his body producing more easy scoring opportunities. And his jumper is good enough these days where people have to respect his spot up ability. IMO, a big weakness for the Cavs is not having another player on the team who he can play off as a slasher and get easy shots.

    5 Troy Murphys
    5 Dirk Nowitzki.

Got every aspect of the game covered.

Except for the whole "quickness" or "athleticism" part.

    5 Wilts without a doubt.

The other team would not score. And whoever said he couldn't pass obvioously never watched him play. He could do anything he wanted. Ask Magic about the pick up game at UCLA years after Wilt retired.

Of all his memories of Wilt Chamberlain, the one that stood out for Larry Brown happened long after Chamberlain's professional career had ended. On a summer day in the early 1980s, when Brown was coaching at UCLA, Chamberlain showed up at Pauley Pavilion to take part in one of the high-octane pickup games that the arena constantly attracted. "Magic Johnson used to run the games," Brown recalled Tuesday after hearing that Chamberlain, his friend, had died at 63, "and he called a couple of chintzy fouls and a goaltending on Wilt. "So Wilt said: 'There will be no more layups in this gym,' and he blocked every shot after that. That's the truth, I saw it. He didn't let one [of Johnson's] shots get to the rim." Chamberlain would have been in his mid-40s at the time, and he remained in top physical shape until recently

Wilt averaged 8.6 assists per game in '68 and he led the league.
Wow, didn't realize that. Wilt was a beast on offense and defense. Don't think he took many threes but I don't think he would need to. I like my teams pounding it in the paint.

I thought about 5 Magics, but they wouldn't have enough outside shooting for today's game. 5 LeBrons would pack the lane and have size advantage defending the post. Plus they'd dominate the rebounding and have good rim-protection.

As for Wilts and Sabonis... do people actually remember those guys playing? Like, say, their ball-handling? If you think any of them could actually bring the ball up against a pressure by 5 LeBrons you're delusional.

The game was played at a furious pace, lots of possessions. Russell still raped his ass, as usual. Wilt was great putting up numbers, winning is more than that.

    Anyway:

Don't think he took many threes but I don't think he would need to. I like my teams pounding it in the paint.
Good luck with getting the ball inside without having shooters on the outside.

Russell had far superior teammates. That might have something to do with why he won so much.

Obviously Lebron..every other player that has been mentioned has some serious flaws..

guys like Wilt and other big men can't handle the ball nearly well enough to make plays for teammates or to dribble against pressure..

Lamar Odom is very overrated when people talk about how he would look if he was "motivated"..

KG is a possibility, but even though he's a great ball-handler for a big man, he probably wouldn't cut it consistently on the perimeter..

Magic is probably #2, but that team would play little D..

Lebron is obviously the best option..he has the least amount of flaws in this comparison..

LeBron has flaws just like everyone else. He has no post game whatsoever. ZERO. And he pretty much has to play with the ball in his hands and everyone else playing off of him. You will learn that when he goes to New York next year and you jump back on the Knicks bandwagon.

True enough, but any post player mentioned would have zero chance guarding Lebron on the perimeter or the fast break, which I can sort of see James using his size and hops to rebound and defense the post with some success.

As I said, his flaws are much less in comparison to anybody else if you're "cloning" him for a team..his post game wouldn't matter much when every one of them will blow by everybody else and stretch the offense out against other bigs..

    LOL @ New York comment..

    A healthy young Grant Hill

Durant should also deserve some mention in this thread. He can truly do it all.
