this would actually make sense and be a reasonable argument if you are debating whether the colts or patriots are the best team over the decade, but not when comparing two individuals in a sport where there are always 21 other guys on the field, and the two that are being debated over are NEVER on the field at the same time as the other.

Brady has 3 rings with teams that didn't have near the talent Manning has had for just about his entire career. Manning finally eeked 1 out against the Rex Grossman led Bears but otherwise he chokes in the playoffs and then throws his teammates under the bus.
Everybody gets impressed by his hard counts and that he yells at his teammates when they f up, but in the end he's not a winner like Brady.
Better technician = Manning. Better winner = Brady.

Peyton Manning is good at having gaudy passing stats, and making funny commercials.
But honestly, the fact that Matt Cassel can go 11-5 with the Pats tells me that it is more the system, than the quarterback, that makes the team what it is. In terms of quarterbacking ability, I'll take Manning.
