This is the typical response. No one makes better tamales then mama. Pero, que happens when mama can't make tamales?
You're a ing idiot. That doesn't even make sense.

Pork with chile colorado tamales are the best. I don't understand having tamales with green chile or chicken or beans or cheese in them.

I don't get how people think that Delicious and Reuben's Tamales are good tamales. They aren't close to good if you've had real tamales. Sorry just my opinion.

IMHO, for some I can understand how they would be considered good tamales as not everyone has tasted great homemade tamales that have that special taste that only love can add. And when one is hungry and has the munchies that can also add flavor and cloud ones judgment.

That place sucks. I never understood how people would wait hours for them.
I like them a lot. Too much "masa", I guess I agree I'm no cook. They used to be meatier not even a few years ago if that's what you're saying. Those have always been my favorite tamales though forever, I guess cause they are so close and I've eaten loads.

It really didn't have anything to do with the masa. There just wasn't any flavor to any of it.

In my family, tamales are a New Years tradition. My mom and dad and aunt and uncle do a tamale assembly line on New Years Eve and then everyone meets up at their house after the parties. But since I'm not near them I make them by myself, a couple of days before.

And they haven't had them the way I serve them.
    I'm too scared to ask....
