Dirk isn't a pussy - that would ing hurt. But Landry came off far worse than he did.
They are worried about infection? Have they ever heard of antibiotics? A dose of amoxycillin (or someother variant) and a dose of flagyl and they've got that covered. Storm in a teacup.

Human bites cause major problems with infection, particularly near the joints. It's not just a situation of giving him antibiotics and slapping on a band-aid. They'll have to watch the cut very closely, but I'm sure he'll be fine.

However, the standard treatment protocol of antibiotics for both aerobic (XXX-cillin) and anaerobic (flagyl or similar) bacteria would effectively treat a bite like that 99% of the time. It's not like he was bitten by a bat...
The le of the thread says they are "extremely worried" for Dirk, and that seems like an over-reaction to me, unless there is some nerve damage we haven't heard about.
