ok...I can accept that. I have, however, gone undefeated with my Texas threads. But that's understandable.
Sad that the best team in college football has to play Boise State.
texas is undefeated cuz of my haircut mojo and not your threads
rofl, I like TCU but they would get rolled by Texas or Bama.
Yeah, dawg...I like TCU too...one of my favorite players and men of all time, Bob Lilly, played there...but they're not on Texas or Bama's level.
Stop trying so ing hard. This isn't the high school lunch-room anymore.
I'm more worried about the Hawaii Bowl right now. I'll get to the BCS bowls a little later.![]()
The good news is that the last time SMU was in a bowl game was in the same staduim and they won.
The bad news is that they are playing Nevada...but I hope they win.![]()
yeah they will be up against it. The good news is that a couple weeks ago, it was reported that one of Nevada's 1,000 yard rushers will be out due to injury. Now someone may be able to confirm this, but I'm pretty sure I heard within the last day or so, that ANOTHER of Nevada's 1,000 yard rushers will be out...academically ineligible or something. That still leaves one 1,000 yard rusher left, because they had THREE. And SMU's run D can get burned quite often by good, or even mediocre run offenses. I'm still expecting this to be a Nevada win and SMU learning experience. But I think SMU will be right back next season even better. Their 2010 recruiting class is looking pretty good.
?? Do you even know what the this means? I do like TCU. Always have...why is me saying it considered trying hard? You need to wake the up, dude.
And.......it's on..
Reports: DWI dropped for UT's Monroe
Texas kick returner D. J. Monroe can rejoin the team before the BCS le game against Alabama after charges for driving while intoxicated were dropped in exchange for a plea agreement, the Austin American-Statesman reported.
Monroe pleaded guilty to a charge of obstruction of a passageway Friday and received deferred adjudication, local reports said.
Texas coach Mack Brown planned to talk to Monroe and his family next week about his plans for the freshman when Brown returns from a recruiting trip, the American-Statesman reported, citing an athletic department spokesman.
"He's extremely happy," Monroe's lawyer, Brian Roark, said, according to the Austin newspaper. "He is hoping to play in the national championship game and continue his career at Texas."
Monroe was suspended indefinitely after being arrested on a drunken driving charge in November, hours after a win against Baylor.
Before missing three games, Monroe set a Texas record with two kickoff returns for touchdowns this season for the Longhorns. He also had 110 yards on 20 carries at tailback.
The second-ranked Longhorns will play the No. 1 Crimson Tide on Jan. 7 in the Citi BCS National Championship Game.
Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.

this should be an excellent game....but a playoff would be better.
Man the TV ratings would be off the charts with playoffs!
bye the way, go bama!
from what i've seen on the field, bama is the clear favorite. i think they are just as talented, but their play, for whatever reason (coaching, chemistry, health) is at a higher level.
however, i've seen this song and dance before and it was more lopsided than this. USC was more talented and rolling, but lost to an uber motivated t.u.. you just can't overvalue motivation and disrespect...and for this reason, i think its an extremely close game, instead of my initial reaction of bama by 10+.
UA 23
t.u. 21
and this is based on.... what?
results on the field, silly. clearly, its my opinion...you don't have to share it.
i would have to think alabama cant score as much as the longhorns
if colt goes evangelical bama has a good shot
I'm a Longhorn fanatic. If we pull this off, I'll be shocked. What we had in 05 that we don't have now is a good O-line. The O-line of Texas is crap. Our pass defense is suspect. The good news is, two years from now, depending on how Gilbert progresses, we're gonna be a good. he could come out firing on all cylinders as a freshman. Our O-line will be more mature and bigger, our defensive backs coming along. What people fail to realize is this Texas team, barring Colt and Shipley is young. Look at all those freshman and sophmores on that roster. It's scarey.
A&M is going to win in Austin next year.
Our pass defense is suspect? We have more interceptions than any team in college football...how is that suspect?
I'd be more worried about our run defense up the gut from power formations and our ability to make the first tackle when that freshman RB tries to break to the side.
Luckily for the horns, Christian Scott is suited up and ready to crack some skulls![]()
what results on the field?
