When did Parker become co-captain?
His second year (or maybe third) on the team.
Interesting. Any reference to captain that I've found is just Duncan. I've never seen Parker referred to as co-captain.
Not that the E-N guys are the most reliable source of info, but they've referred to Duncan as 'Team Captain' but haven't done that with Parker.
Thanks Kori. I didn't know.
no such thing as co-captain, parker is no better than vice captain in other words, nobody gives a about vice captains, just like vice presidents....
timmay is the captain, he goes down, we all go down....

just timmy...but its wikipedia so ...![]()
I'm not sure what you are saying (like most of the time you post)... but Duncan and Parker are captains. There's no such thing as a vice-captain. Though Timmy is obviously the leader of the team.
Just for informational purposes, this is what rule 3, section 111 says about the role of the team captain and co-captain:
a. A team may have a captain and a co-captain numbering a maximum of two. The designated captain may be anyone on the squad who is in uniform, except a player-coach.
b. The designated captain is the only player who may talk to an official during a regular or 20-second timeout charged to his team. He may discuss a rule interpretation, but not a judgment decision.
c. If the designated captain continues to sit on the bench, he remains the captain for the entire game.
d.In the event that the captain is absent from the court or bench, his coach shall immediately designate a new captain.
timmy and manu are the only real leaders on our squad. who ever is "named" i have no idea, other than timmy. Im pretty sure everyone can tell parker will never be a real leader. potential captain(s) leader(s) : George hill, Dejuan Blair. they have the qualities too
Yes kori is right
You guys can see that at the beginning of a game, Duncan and Parker would go to the center side of the court with the referee as well as the captains of matchups
i told you to stop posting
The Spurs do not designate it on their roster nor on their jerseys, but Tim and Tony are the team captains. I am trying to remember the last time Tim and Tony sat out together and I think Manu assumed their duties, but I can not remember who else.
Only one Spurs' player is playing like he's a "Captain".
Yeah Bonner has been awesome
lolz.
Fixed
does it hurt your feelings so strong to learn that tony is the co-captain of the team that you have to about it ?
personally, i indeed don't give a , but i find it funny to see a manu groupie/parker hater feelings so hurted to learn that a 20 years old parker was named captain when an already experienced manu wasn't.
Guess Pop saw things in this kid then and the future made him right.
PS: once again, i think it would be a very good and useful thing to make the age of members appear under their avatar (even if anyone could lie though). Considering the stupidity of some behaviour and posts, i wouldn't waste my time answering 14 years old kids like this one could very well be.
