I made this thread because I want to know other fans true opinions. Do you still consider the Patriots as a dangerous team in the playoffs? Their road woes are what gets me less excited. Then again they were only blown out once on the road and their other 4 road losses were very winnable games. Thoughts?

The defense has been great except for against New Orleans & the 4th quarter against Indy. They're only gonna get better.

The real problem is Brady. He's making bad decisions and bad throws. His deep ball is so horrendous right now I wish he'd never throw it. The only benefit to his deep ball is that he underthrows his receiver so badly that the CB sometimes doesn't adjust well enough and runs right into the receiver and the PI gets called.

I love Brady, but honestly I think this year the team would be better if Matt Cassel was the starter. It takes most QB's at least one full season before they recover mentally from blowing out their knee.

Well, I'm a Patriots fan, and based on the way they have been playing this season, I don't think they will go far.

Most of their wins have come against sub par teams, and when they had a chance to beat the better teams, they blew it big time (Indianapolis game ).

Their offensive line has done a poor job at protecting Brady, their D is meh since Bruschi retired, and their offense is too predictable.

Brady himself has been overthrowing at times


However, they can potentially go far if Bellichick wakes the and stops being stupid.

NE's second half offense this year is pretty damn bad.. Their offensive coach must be high cuz ive never seen more predictable playcalling in a while..Brady doesnt have much time to throw like the past, Moss seems like hes just chillin back & welker cant carry all the load by himself. No pass rush & no veteran leadership on defense. I can go on & on but I think they have a chance to go deep in the playoffs if they figure out a way to fix the poor 2nd halves..Good luck to your team.

Dangerous much? No.
Just as dangerous as any other AFC team? Yes.
Almost had Indy beat at Indy.
Altho the Chargers have a better roster, when your opponent has Norv for the coach you always have a chance.
Cinci great at times but also vulnerable.
Pitt the greasiest team on the planet, and good when they are good but bad when they are bad.

The falloff by Brady is expected with the injury he had. They still have just as good a shot as anyone. I hope they come to San Diego where Rivers with a 70% good set of ACLs and no Marty this time will own them.

Well they clinched the afc east today. They win next week they can clinch the 3 seed. I hope they bring it next week and finish the regular season with very good momentum.

Also I would love to get the Steelers in the first round if they get that 6th seed. I think it could happen. Oakland has been playing the role of spoiler as of late. If Pats/Steelers win next week and the Ravens lose, I believe Pitts gets that 6th slot.

You may be right. Thing is the Texans are ahead of Pitts at the moment I believe.
