Alright, boosie.
lol the tone of that was mostly a joke.
Alright, boosie.
Chocolate covered bananas are are awesome possum. Something must be wrong with you.
I also don't have XBL anymore. Don't ask me to play Madden.
That's actually mine.
Good to know that the healthy starters are going to play this week. If they win this game I can't see Caldwell benching them with an opportunity to go 16-0.
Anyway, J.T. is right. If gonzo comes back this week the Colts have two weeks to see if he will be able to contribute at all during the playoffs. The good thing is if he is ready to come back he is going to have a ful month of practice to get ready for the post season as well.
Haven't read the last few pages of the thread, but I am pulling for an Indy/NO super bowl. I'd like to see a game where I can pull for both guys. Peyton is what every coach wants behind center, and Drew is what every coach wants to lead. You can easily swap the names and each statement remains true. The NFL delivers.
The real Americas team is in NO es, And Americas QB is in Indy.
Aw yeah.
Gonzalez and Brown back at practice.
good deal!
Jerraud Powers out until playoffs start. Hamstring injury is not keeping him off the field, they're just making sure they have him ready (and healthy) for January.
Vinatieri will practice this week.
Indy better draft Toby Gerhart and next season unleash a white-wash offense.
yeah cuz reggie wayne is white
I was joking that he would make a white wash offense possible. I didn't say it would be a white wash offense.
My went to the U, he can't be too white.
Colts finally put Anthony Gonzalez on IR
Posted by Mike Florio on December 24, 2009 12:08 PM ET
When the Colts parted ways with receiver Marvin Harrison, Anthony Gonzalez moved into the starting lineup.
Gonzalez suffered a knee injury in Week One, and he has been unable to play ever since.
But the Colts carried him on the 53-man roster, in the hopes that he'd be able to return.
Now, with two weeks left in the regular season and the playoffs coming thereafter, the Colts have announced that Gonzalez has been moved to injured reserve.
"Anthony has been diligent in the rehabilitation of his knee, but it has not progressed to the point that it allows him to return to the field this season," team president Bill Polian said. "We look forward to his healthy return next season."
Gonzalez joined the team in 2007 as a first-round draft pick from Ohio State. In his first two seasons, he caught a total of 94 passes for 1,240 yards and seven touchdowns.
Vinatieri will kick against the Jets on Sunday.
Matt Stover staying on the team for the playoffs.
Team will probably choose who will make kicks based on the distance (my guess is they'll use Stover for anything closer than 40, Vinatieri anything longer than 40).
I think they should have I'm Matt Stooooooooovvverrrr and Nougatieri play rock paper scissors to decide who kicks.
Caldwell effectively promised every Colts fan that he'd win us the Super Bowl with how he handled the game today.
Let's hope he can keep his promise.
I bet you anything, Sunday's decision wasn't at all Caldwell's.
Caldwell and Polian had different stances as of a couple of weeks ago.
It still pisses me off though.
Anyhoo...
I'm not sure if Colts fans have seen this.
Here are the opponents for 2010. Based on this year's teams, this has the potential to be a bit tough.
YEAR: 2010
Home:
Kansas City Chiefs
San Diego Chargers
Dallas Cowboys
New York Giants
Away:
Denver Broncos
Oakland Raiders
Philadelphia Eagles
Washington Redskins
I'm pretty much over the Colts front office's decision to publicly neuter themselves in the third quarter against the Jets last week at this point.... I mean, I'll never be over it if the Colts win the Super Bowl this year. Five point lead and Reggie Wayne was on his way to being the first guy that Revis didn't shut down this year and they mail it in. Ugh, ing Bill Polian.
I'm just infinitely grateful their first loss didn't happen in the postseason. Or the Super Bowl. I'm sure this is just like 1/1,000th the feeling Patriots fans had in '07.
I just get the feeling this whole thing is going to eventually lead to Peyton waving off the punt team and going for it on fourth down at some point in the playoffs, taking the snap with one hand while the other hand is firmly pointed in Caldwell's direction (or Polian's skybox) giving him the bird.
