Add the gold medal to that list too.
don't get me wrong I love tony, but this decade Manu > Tony.
NBA only. I didnīt include "d-league" awards...![]()
The article is about the NBA over the past decade, the NBA only. Stop trying to add international/Olympic arguments into the discussion.
IMO (I'm doing it so each team has a PG, SG, SF, PF, C), first team:
Shaq
Duncan
Lebron
Kobe
Kidd
Ben Wallace
KG
Tracy McGrady
Allen Iverson
Chauncey Billups
Yao Ming
Dirk
Paul Pierce
Ray Allen
Steve Nash
Even if you group all guards together, Manu doesn't have a strong argument to get in the top 6.
Kobe
Nash
Kidd
Wade
Iverson
CP3
Manu would be in the next tier of guards with Ray Allen, Billups, T-Mac, and Tony Parker on the outside looking in. You can make the "playoff performance" argument with some of those guys, but it's still a losing argument to try to contend Manu should be among the top 6 NBA guards in the decade.
Manu doesn't deserve to be in the NBA team of the decade even I know that. But I also know that KG > > > Dirk.
In terms of individual acomplishments in the NBA I agree, but I'd definitely take Manu over Iverson (probably over Nash too) on my team if they were all at their primes.
I agree mostly cause Nash and A.I. are only capable of contributing to their team in one way, Manu is capable of actually playing off someone, actually moving without the ball, and actually playing D.
Dude, stop agreeing with me, it's no fun.
I'll try not to.
I appreciate it.
