I changed teams when Rasho was traded. I root for whichever team he plays for.
I also rooted for the Magic simply because Hedo played for them.
I root for the Spurs because I am still a big fan of Manu and Tim.
When i was young, I was a Boston fan (80's), then Portland(90-93), and then settled on the suns in 93' (always liked Kj and Barkley going there was too much to resist, bandwagoner at first)... Will go down with the suns ship...
When I was young, I was obviously a bandwagoner until settling on the Suns. My case I grew up where there was no NBA team within 400 miles of me.
So is everyone a lifer here or has anyone else changed teams, why?

No. Have always been a Spurs fan. I was born and raised in SA after all.
There have been other teams that interest me depending on their style of play, the character of their roster, or whatever. But I would never choose them over my team.
I remember van Breda Kolff abusing Chamberlain as a child on the B&W television in our basement. I felt bad for him and it just clicked.
I've never looked back.
Pistons fan since 2002 when i started watching basketball
Wasn't really a fan of a particular team, until my city got its own franchise. Been a fan of TD since he came into the league, so naturally started following the Spurs as well.
Then the first year the asshole sides the Suns they have a victory parade after Paxson lowered the boom on 'em.
Never changed teams that I root for. LAL and UCLA through and through
I really think sometimes people take their fanhood too seriously where as I couldn't really give a . I mean I always felt that, even when "your" team wins what do you gain? You didn't win anything, they did. Although I won't dog on anybody who is into it saying "we beat you" or anything.
If the Mavs lost to the Spurs in the playoffs are anything, I wouldn't give two s honestly. I really could care less about sports, as most people know I'm just here to with sensitive people![]()
The Chargers are pretty sick. They're my favorite team to watch.
Uni's are sick, their offense is entertaining, and it seems like a great place to play in Southern Cal
You're right, the suns have been perfect since 1993.You guys brains must be fried from last night.
I've been a Mavs fan since 1987, when I was a kid watching Aguirre, Blackman and Tarpley do their thing. The Sonics were my mistress in the nineties though. I bet everyone has had a basketball mistress from time to time.
I think Raider fans should just boycott the games until Davis either dies or is forced to step down due to sheer embarassment.
Same thing with Jerry Jones
The only time I ever changed teams was in baseball. I was a huge Mets fan as a kid because of Doc Gooden and since San Antonio didn't have a team. Once I found out he was a crackhead, I got pissed and switched to the Dodgers, and they've been my favorite team since.
I take it back; I changed teams in college ball too. Georgetown was always my favorite team growing up, but obviously I'm going to now cheer for the school I went to (UCLA).
@ Laker fans trying to overcompensate with a bunch of "lifelong, diehard Lakers fan, always have and always will be!" comments. They know they're a part of the biggest, douchiest bandwagoner fanbase on earth.
Lakers, Raiders, Dodgers, Trojans since I've followed every sport(NBA 97, NFL 98, MLB 2002, college 2002)
Fan of the Bruins, Cs, Pats and Sox since I started following sports.
Lakers since I started following the NBA.
Spurs is the only team I root for.
Been a fan since 1992, when I "discovered" David Robinson while watching the pre-olympic tournament in Portland.
I'm not from North America, so the only guys I new about were Isiah, Magic, Bird, Jordan, Pippen, Drexler.........
I never jumped on the Bulls/Lakers bandwagon; tough times when those 2 teams were dominating, but I couldn't switch team, it would have been too easy
In other leagues:
- Montreal Canadiens (easy one, I live in Montreal)
- Patriots
- Red Sox
lol bandwagon canadian spur fan.
lol argy bandwagon spur fans.
lol canada.
I'm not Canadian
I mentioned in the post that I'm not from North America, but you are too re ed to understand that![]()
True, but you did get butt ed by the Mavs 4-1.
Spurs since 01' playoffs, mostly due to the fact my friend was a laker fan and I felt like rooting for the other team in their playoff series lol
Watched basketball very sparingly before, so didn't really have a team, but have been following the NBA and the Spurs religiously since then.
