if you actually watched Mavs games then your dumb ass would know that JJ Barea is playing shooting guard this season, not point guard. The Mavs are fine with Kidd at point.

Harris misses games...but i still don't think Kidd makes you a better team. Having Barea offsets the trade. Having Beaubois makes the trade practically a non-issue. That doesn't mean you got the better end of the Harris-kidd trade, though.

Kidd is averaging more rebounds, assists, steals, FT 3pt and FG %.

I'd rather have 75 games of Kidd than 50 games of Harris, that's for sure. And I'd rather have 3 years of Kidd than 8 years of Harris when the Mavs are trying to get Dirk some help and stay relevant, whereas the Nets were rebuilding. Why can't the trade be win-win for both teams?

I was against the trade in the run-up to it when there were rumors the Mavs would make a play for Kidd, and in the first calendar year after they pulled the trigger, it looked like that was the right call. For the sake of being a Mavs fan, I am glad I was wrong. I was wrong to think that Devin Harris' potential meant passing on Kidd. Spurs fans can't look at everything that has transpired since then and conclude that it was a win-win for both sides, Dallas got an upgrade at PG for the last part of the Dirk era, and the Nets got a nice piece for their future.

Devin goes for 11 points on 3-8 shooting tonight. He also tossed in 11 dimes and 2 steals against only 2 turnovers. He's a nice player.

I agree with you win-win for both sides. Dallas for now, because when Dirk stops playing or isn't on the team, who knows how they might do. And Nets future.

I'd say it's a win for the Nets and not because of the trade, because we have Brook. I'd take him over both Harris and Kidd, but I'll leave that story for another day
