your talking means nothing to me. your team is full of overrated chodes and has only beat the colts in the playoffs because of injury or jewish officiating. you'll have neither helping you this year. you and your team, and may god help you both.
    you started the trash talking

if this wasn't a veteran team that had been there before, then i could see the momentum argument, but i have no worries about manning and crew all of a sudden getting lazy in practice and not being ready once the games start mattering again. Booing a team for doing the smart thing is ridiculous.

This was completely ridiculous, and Painter wasn't ready. He was an absolute joke out there. I'd be booing too. Did he even complete a pass?

If San Diego and Indy met, I'd pick San Diego.

The Colts have obviously been good all year, however the Chargers still have the mental edge after knocking them off two years in a row and are the hottest team in the league right now. I'm not sure any team in the league can beat them right now

You're no Colts fan if you'd break Manning's starting streak for a rookie that just ing choked in his first real playing time.

Sarcasm is the lowest form of argument. The people booing today are symptomatic of what is wrong with this country: everyone wants glory RIGHT NOW instead of focusing on the big picture. You don't screw around with a shot at a championship just because your fans want to see you win a meaningless game today.

It's not that they lost. That doesn't bother me. It bothers me that they put a newbie behind center who had absolutely no clue.
Does he even show up to practice, for crying out loud? Could he identify a football 2 out of 3 times?
absolute BS, the 2nd half of this game.

maybe next time they'll have a challenge set up at halftime where the winner gets to QB the 2nd half. THat would be great, wouldn't it?

and another thing...this just accentuates the fact that the Colts have NO BACKUP for Peyton if he ever went down with an injury.
What the would they do then?
They've never been concerned with picking up a backup for him.

There were warning signs this would happen before the game, the biggest two being the Colts signing a 3rd QB to the roster and deactivating Mathis for the game. The reason starters only played for a half is because they were trying to get a few players to different individual milestones. Peyton needed about 160 to break 50,000 for his career and Clark needed 3 yards to break 1,000 for the season. The way this game went was textbook Indianapolis Colts when going into shut-down, preseason mode at the end of the year. Get the guys who've earned it their goals, and then prioritize health.

This Colts team earned the right to decide they wanted to rest. They won 14 straight games and clinched home field. The fans at the game today were pretty ty with their booing, just because you get to 14-0 doesn't mean you have some god given duty to go for 19-0. Undefeated season talk is for the fans, which is obviously why it's a big deal to some Colts fans that they shut it down in this game the way they did. But the team has its own goals, and obviously an undefeated season is not one of them. You need a healthy team to win in the playoffs and that's what the Colts want to have.

They would do the same thing the Spurs did when Duncan got injured before the playoffs: lose.

I think the booing was more about Painter being an absolute joke.
Like I said before...what would we do if Peyton went down? Haha is HE our answer? That would be awful.
And taking our foot off the gas isn't a good plan either.

No team has a plan for losing its best player. No backup QB is going to win them a playoff game if Manning goes down.

screw the playoffs in this scenario. Painter isn't even going to win them a quarter if Manning goes down. There's got to be someone better than him out there wanting to get picked up. Good grief. Where's Brady Quinn? At least I can root for him - being from ND and all.

I think the booing was more about Painter being an absolute joke.
The booing was at Caldwell and by extension Bill Polian. That's the sad reality about this whole situation, is because Caldwell's decision to pull people effectively screwed Painter out of a fair shake because it made the crowd freak out. Did anybody expect Painter to come in and close the game out? Or actually score points? Think about it. A rookie, getting his first playing time of the year. Against a pretty good defense. It would have happened to any rookie QB, I would think. But the booing wasn't even for him.

I think they expected him to at least pick up 20 yards....you know...maybe complete a pass or two.

“I’m disappointed,” Manning said. “There were some chances, I think, to do some things better out there. The turnover and the kickoff return, those are plays that we haven’t given up this year and when you do, it’s hard to win. So we’ve got some things to get corrected and that will be the plan starting tomorrow.”
