they wouldnt be on the same team, ego's would never let them do it. lebron should be number #1 option but bryant is still throwing 30 shots a game, so i figure bryant will be #1 option
And they won a le.....
Who would be the #1 option? Who has bragging rights to say he was the star of the team that led them to the le.

LeBron would be a perfect fit for a triangle offence, replacing the Odom/Pippen role. Presumably the offense would be run though him, but the major scoring load would fall to Kobe, as this suits each players' strengths.
Because LeBron's scoring averages would be less than Kobe's, presumably, Kobe would be getting the bulk of the credit. However, as we have seen, when you have a dynamic duo, even the 2nd guy gets a of a lot of props.
This is not a slight on either player.
LeBron would be the #1 option
Kobe would cut down on his 30 shots per game, and focus on defense and a little scoring
While it would give me much joy to see Kobe in the T-Mac role (as T-Mac was in Toronto with VC), the fact is, it would not happen.
Besides, has Kobe ever played more that 30 seconds of defense 4 times in a single game? His offensive game would totally evaporate if he was a designated defender, and I am not sure it would be lockdown if it had to go all game. He is human.
lol miamiheats sig is the![]()
I agree!
I guess you didn't watch the Olympics. Kobe was Team USA's doberman on defense in those games and then went on to make the key offensive plays in the le game to win it. He can do whatever he sets his mind to.
In this case though Kobe would be the #1 offensive option as the senior player with rings not to mention the more explosive scorer.

LeBron would be the ultimate Pippen. If he really put every-night energy into his defense he'd be one of the all-time greats on that end, both on-ball and helping.
He also doesn't have to shoot a lot to be a devastating offensive player. With as often as he goes to the free-throw line he can score 25-30 points while taking 10-12 shots.
I actually think Kobe's and LeBron's games mesh pretty well.
lebron is coming to the lakers? here we go again with these pipe dreams
Kobe's ego won't allow him not to be the man. To me LeBron could handle being the #2 more easily than Kobe. Kobe would be the #1 option. But that said, it would be the type of 1-2 punch where Kobe averages 30 ppg and LeBron averages 28 ppg. So, it would be more of a 1A and 1B scenario. Kobe may still have that ego, but I think he also knows what type of talent LeBron is and would share "some" of the spotlight with him as long as he was still ultimately the "alpha dog," the guy who had the ball in his hands at the end of close games. Kobe would let LeBron do plenty of the heavy lifting during the season and during stretches of games. But, when it came down to winning and losing the game, the ball would be in Kobe's hands. Kobe would say the diplomatic things and profess how it was the both of them... as long as he felt like he was being acknowledged as the true leader and "the man" on the team. So, as long as it was him and not LeBron who got the Finals MVP, he would have no problem saying it was a "team" effort and both he and LeBron carried the team together.
Kobe would number 1 in the eyes of the media and Lebron would be number 1 in the eyes of the fans.
Maybe in a few years. Right now Kobe has more fan votes for the all-star game.
WTF, this ain't NBA Live or 2K Sports.
Lebron & Kobe could not co-exist on the same NBA team.
