Claiming to be a hardcore Vujacic fan could actually go a long way for your rep. You could be known all over the internets as the guy from that website who's a die hard Machine fan. Maybe he shows out one day in the finals and you begin to garner a cult following of sorts.
As someone who's been a hardcore Dragic fan from day 1, I thought this might be true, but it's not. As Dragic is playing better, more and more people act like they've been hardcore Dragic fans and hop on his bandwagon.
I've been a hardcore Tony Parker fan from day one. I would say crap like he's gonna be an all-star some day, and he's gonna be a top PG in the league...blah blah. I hoped it would happen but never really thought it would, I just figured i'd hype him as much as possible. In end it's just nice to see a guy you've always rooted for actually succeed. I personally really like Dragic...he's the white kid from Slovenia who's doing work on all these US college stars.
Idk why I liked Dragic so much from day 1, his humble approach is probably it. And yeah same story with me, I created the nickname "White Magic" just to be utterly ridiculous hyping him up and to combat the nickname Tragic. I thought this season would go better for him than his rookie year but it's going way better than even I thought. It is great though to see the hype I thought was ridiculous look semi-legit. If he ever makes an all star game it'd really be something.
