    I have one on the way just wondering if anyone else has one and your thoughts. Im getting an 8 core with two 24" displays.

    I do not have one. But from my research online, unless you need the PCI slots, I have heard that a quad ht i7 iMac is a much better solution, as the raw power of the system is equal, plus you get the display for less.

    I don't think the raw power is the same, maybe the quad core mac pro but not the 8 core mac pro. Quite a difference I would think. Especially on apps that take advantage of multiple cores.

    Waste of money unless you absolutely need a Mac and you need PCI slots...

    While Apple has done a fairly good job of competing in the low-margin market, on the high end you can still save a ton of cash by DIY...

    If you happen to get one without a malfunctioning/broken display out of the box, yes.
