Major upgrades to the NBA Forum are coming shortly....

In 72 hours, upgrades will be made to the NBA Forum due to the declining participation lately.

There will be a lot more basketball talk and any threads that refrain from that will be deleted immediately. I don't want to ruin the surprise, but the staff will come up with sort of a point system for good, intelligent, posts and solid takes. Post count will be replaced with your "score" so the posters with the highest score will be the most intelligent posters. There will also be an average score per post statistic.

There will also be a penalty system, and if you rack up enough penalties you will be banned. The first strike is three days, second strike is a month, and third strike is a year.

I will explain more in the coming days

Participation is probably declining because of all the trash talking, rude and insulting and ridiculous posts.The forum needs much stronger moderation to get more participation. People don't like to post and participate when they are going to be personally insulted.

There's always the ignore button. This is the only place I have ever used this feature. Since there is so much trolling and trash talking a liberal use of the ignore button works for me.
