So when someone says "The healthcare debate will be televised", you wont "pretend" to know what they meant?
Really?
he's obessed with me.. he's much smarter than you are though.

You dont REALLY believe this, do you? Your just too proud to admit that Obama didnt keep a promise.
Most transparent administration EVAH!
he "decided" to change his mind.
you guy's should be fawning all over that.
I for one, am against 1200 page bills. It should be short enough that the average american can read it, and understand it, over a weekend. When I brought up the page length, a large group in this forum belittled it as nonsense. You are also getting off the topic of the POTUS lieing to the Americans, and the Democrats making back room deals.
lol you think they make deals in the open.
How do you Tivo/DVR something that is not broadcast?
EDIT> Reread your post. Disregard.
So far, it'd be so easy to own Obama in a debate/campaign against him in 2012, yet the GOP will probably put forth some weakling that will be soft on him face to face.
/thread
It's just fun to rub in because Obama was pretty much America's God during the campaign.
WIth the help of the dems crossing over and picking another moderate. I heard Scarborough is considering running. Im voting for Guilianni
And thats because Obama is SOOOOOO tough! That pussy is toast. They called him a liar durning his address!
the health care debate in Congress? Is there a debate going on now? Or a reconciliation?
when congress and the senate were debating the healthcare reform bills late last fall. Were they done in public? simple question.
Are you referring to the reconciliation that is going on now? is this the 'debate' that is supposed to be going on in public?
We have lots of folks here who apparently were born when Obama came into office..
Considering the nitwit who said that was proven to himself be lying shortly after his unprecedented little outburst, I'm having trouble sussing the point you're trying to make, unless it's the broad observation that Washington is populated exclusively by weasels, Dem or Rep alike.
But I think you're just repeating your pet clairvoyance that Obama is toast in 2012. Again.
Some optimistic Republican pundit counts 37 House votes that could be lost if the Pelosi - Reid - Obama compromise is true.
I don't think it'll be 37 but, the bill only passed the house by a couple of votes the first time around so, it doesn't have to be 37.
And, since they've lost their token Republican out in Kalifornia -- Arnold Schwarzenegger now opposes Obamacare -- things may be slipping away.
I'll be curious to see just how energetic Dodd, et. al. remain about Obamacare now that they've announced their intentions.
I think some of them realize that it is a done deal so now they are going against it.
But, it's not a done deal. I think it passed the house with less than 5 votes the first time.
If just 3 of the 37 change their votes (and, I think it'll be more), game over.
I realize the algorithm is a bit more complicated than that as some Congressmen had Pelosi's permission to vote no last time, to save their political skin, when it became apparent she had the votes. But, she may force their hand this time. How many of those there are, I'm not sure.
Obviously a poor decision and very disappointing but I'm not sure it was a decision Obama was able to make on his own. He probably should not have made the promise to begin with because making promises you can't keep is very close to a lie.
Oh and Nancy Pelosi is in no danger of losing a house vote. She runs the house in an extremely effective manner. Whether or not you agree with her ideology it is undeniable how well she runs her position for her party.
It's a promise he made 8 times on camera... If he had any principle, he'd boycott the negotiations until Pelosi agreed to C-SPAN cameras in all Health Care meetings.
I crack myself up sometimes.
We'll see...I'm making no predictions.
She'd better have held enough votes in her pocket to offset the ones she's going to lose because of her shenanigans.
Didn't Slick Willy say something about the Dems losing control if they don't do this?
He blamed the '95 shift on a failure to get it done in his first term. The truth is, the '95 shift was due to the attempt to nationalize health care. I think 2010 will be similar but, it's still too early to tell.
