That has to be some heavy duty drugs he is on.
http://www.nypost.com/p/pagesix/ster...OvpONlzbsiW3oJTroubled comic Artie Lange landed in the hospital after stabbing himself nine times in an apparent suicide attempt, sources told The Post. Lange's frantic mom called 911 Saturday morning after she entered his Hoboken apartment and found the bloodied funnyman, a law-enforcement source said. Lange sustained six "hesitation wounds" and three deep plunges. A source close to Lange's management team confirmed that the Howard Stern sidekick stabbed himself, adding that his mother had come to visit him that day to drop off food. Surgeons managed to save Lange despite heavy bleeding. "We all have our demons," Stern said on-air this week, referring to Lange's past battles with addiction. "Artie has given this show tremendous moments of great comedy. He's a tremendous contributor. He is a good man. Don't forget how great he is."
After what he did to that horrible s -weasel, Joe Buck, one can only ask why? (Besides the heroin, et al)
That has to be some heavy duty drugs he is on.
Most overrated cast member on Mad tv EVER. Never understood why he was such an on Joe Buck. I am in no way a fan of Joe Buck but was he just jealous that his no-talent career was over and Joe Buck got his own show?
Artie is awesome on the show, I hope he comes back. Hope he gets better. I was shocked to hear that this morning
he must have heard that crookskanks got a job.
He makes 6 figures to do a stand up show and is on the greatest radio show ever. I don't think his career was anywhere near over.
six "hesitation wounds"
pussy
Beer League is hilarious
Never understood the draw behind Lange.
I started to like more after listening to Stern every day. He is great on the show and his stand up is geared a lot toward Stern fans. I don't think he's a great standup but I do like him on the show. Beer League wasn't great. It had it's moments.
And a New York Times bestseller. Whoever thinks his career is over doesn't have a ing clue.
according to him on the HS show he said that the HBO producers told him to go out there and make a big (funny) scene. thats why he did it, but he, lange, kept saying that he liked joe and his father.....

I don't know much about Artie becaue I haven't seen or heard Stern since E! stopped showing his . I just know that I dislike Joe Buck as much as anyone in sports or media and I approved of what Artie did to him. In a big way.
What do you not like about Buck?
Besides the fact that he's a wanna be comedian, smug, pompous, ? A real life version of a Phil Hartman Caricature?
The fact that he gets paid millions for it.
I don't like him cause he's a ty broadcaster
I thought Artie's cd was pretty funny.
Well that's a given. IDK, some people like him I guess.
so he could't bring himself to put a gun in his mouth???
pussy
this ain't no suicide attempt. This is attention whoring. Same thing he did in the Joe Buck show
Are you kidding me? He had three deep stab wounds that required surgery and he would have bled out and died had his mother not decided to stop by his apartment on a whim. Seems about as authentic as it gets.this ain't no suicide attempt. This is attention whoring. Same thing he did in the Joe Buck show
The only route to suicide you see as authentic is with a gun? IDK, but Hari Kari seems legit enough to me.
why didn't he cut his jugular or wrist
mmm it all depends how long it would have taken to bleed to death. You can bleed to death from a small cut if given enough time.
high on drugs, you can really do some damage and feel nothing. He obviously did not want to end it right away.
