Kobe should be sitting out but he's a black mamba warrior and isnt...even if its negatively affecting his team. That's the epitome of selfish, and Laker fan still likes to argue that Kobe isnt the most selfish player of all-time lol. They're overcoming these ridiculously horrendous bad shooting nights from the mamba warrior against bad teams but theyre being exposed against any semi-decent teams (Cavs, Portland, Clips, had to get bailed out by the refs against Kings, etc).
The Lakers have a better chance of winning with Kobe on the floor regardless of the injury.

Not when he's shooting 20% from the field on 30 shots, has like 2 assists, and has Odom, Bynum, and Artest shooting less shots combined than the Mamba Warrior himself shot by himself. They had a significant lead on the 2nd seed at the time of the injury, Kobe couldve easily sat out a couple of weeks. But he hasnt and some of his poor shooting nights have directly cost the Lakers a couple of games during this stretch.
Just his presence on the floor makes the game easier for his teammates. If he had sat the Lakers would have lost more of those games. He's playing for a reason. The Lakers are better with him on the floor, injured or not. It shows a lot of toughness and determination for him to be out there. Lesser players would sit.
How is he making the game easier for his teammates? Maybe if he realized that he's limited by the injury, decided to act as a decoy and look for his teammates I would consider this point. But he's still chucking up 30 shots and hardly looking for his teammates.
No, lesser players stay out on the floor even if it negatively affects their team. Even lesser players dont take into consideration the limitations the injury puts on them and continue to chuck up shot at an astronomical rate.
He's trying to play through it. I agree with the decision based on how well he played right after the injury occurred. If he can't make the adjustment and can't make the plays he wants to he will back off his shot. Phil will also tell him if he's shooting too much.

If Kobe has bad teammates and decides to try and win the game by himself you will say "Look at Kobe!! He's taking every shot!!" Then if all else fails you say " Kobe! ing rapist!".
