What does this guy bring to the table? He is not a starter. Anthony Carter could teach this guy a few things...and that's sad.

Spurs need scoring at this position. At the beginning of every game and at the beginning of the 3rd quarters, the spurs are to stagnant and I think he is a key reason why.

RMJr should be starting... Defense is overrated... The team with the most points wins...

    Waive him.

He brings physicality to the wing position like no other player on the Spurs...he's their enforcer. I think it's good to have a guy like that on your squad.

He's also pretty decent at hitting spot-up 3s and handles the ball pretty decently for an off-guard.

All around, he's a solid role player.

Hahahahahahahahaha, how did I KNOW you or nitwit were going to write this after tonight's game? Was that really you on the Kori Ellis Show? Did you not watch the game? Are you making this thread after NOT watching the game?

Sequ-"Hmmm went bowling, there was a Spurs game. ....against the Lakers.....ooOOOOOOHHHH they probably lost and now I have an excuse to complain more......hmmmm .....box score....... points...... Timmy a lot.
....Tony a lot..... RJ not a lot...... Bogans SUX BAWLS......must start thread..."

That has to be it. Anyone who knows more than "put the ball in the basket" about basketball and actually watches the games wouldn't come up with this crap. Wait, are you for real? Are you just a joke? You are, aren't you? ugh. I knew it.

No, he is not decent at spot-up 3s. He doesn't just miss, he misses everything. If the air could move out of the way, he would probably miss the air too.

    He is no Bruce Bowen.

he wasn't even signed until what, 3 months after free agency started and there were already 13 guaranteed contracts? He was an afterthought.

Only after Jefferson started the season and Pop saw he wouldn't even be able to guard Keith Askins straight up did Bogans enter the equation.

Bogans playing = RJ is terrible at defense

His adjusted plus/minus is +2.59 which puts him in the top 5 of the team. RMJ has been playing better lately but he's shooting .398 from 3-pt range compared to .421 from Bogans. No doubt he had a bad game tonight against the Lakers but he's filling his role. Tell the Warriors defense is overrated. We're 8th in the league in DRtg and 4th in ORtg. We don't need any more offense.

Bogans has the best 3pt% (or right at the top) out of all the Spurs guards and also brings some defense to the squad. He's not what a younger Bruce Bowen was but the role is pretty damn similar and still an asset. He's also a guy that doesn't need the ball in his hands which works great since he's in the same lineup as Parker, Duncan, and Jefferson.

He's at 42% on the season which is good for third on the team (second if you don't count Haislip's garbage buckets)...ahead of ya boy RMJ and Finley.

Besides that, he's got the exact same amount of court time as RMJ (20MPG)...only he provides much better, more physical defense.

Look, if he was playing terrible, I think I'd agree with you. But he's not...airball aside.

love his defense!!! i think its going to be right up there w/ bruces, as the season goes on. im not joking either. i loved bowen to death, but he couldnt dribble the ball, or shoot a freethrow, so to me bogans is somewhat better than bowen, because he can shoot the three from up top,top angle, top of the key and can penetrate at times, something bowen was awful at.

Hes a physical good defender who rebounds well and can drive to the hoop.

He had an off night shooting tonight but his overall game was damn good.

Still, we won't see him much on the court when he's having an off night on the shooting department. It's a Bonner-like situation.
