At least you guys have a channel that shows NBA games. Does you Basketball TV also show local games or is it dedicated to NBA only?
the states have NBATV here in the philippines we have what they call BTV or basketball tv .... they suck coz they only show lakers/mavs/cavs games all the time ....
the last time they had a Spurs broadcast was last december 29 when the spurs played the lowly timberwolves !!!
and as i make this thread up to january 19 they wont be showing any spurs game again thats almost a month ... that goes the same with their sister station solar tv no spurs game til the 19th and COUNTING !!!
PINOY FANS lets do something about it and let BTV know that they suck bigtime

we have a professional league here in the philippines called PBA( phillipine basketball association) they do broadcast all the games on their sister channel ...
my beef is they run a twitter account asking fans what games to broadcast and totally ignore SPURS games .... NBA games are barnone the best basketball entertainment one can watch and not to show the SPURS is a damn shame !!!

Yeah it sucks. But you should be happy you have a basketball channel at all. Over here we have nothing, nada.that sucks even more, everything I follow I have to do thru the internet.
It depends what cable provider you subscribe to. I think the last Mavs game was shown on StarSports on Cablelink ( I'm on Las Pinas Cable) plus several Spurs games were recently shown on Channel 60.. its an Indian Sports Channel that features NBA League Pass games almost daily.
Eh....I've come to expect it. Spurs just aren't popular here; thankful though whenever they do show.
yeah, the scheduling there is crappy. Last week, they showed Denver vs Cavs, when ESPN was also airing the same game. Then the day after, they showed another Denver Game. They didn't even show Spurs vs. Mavs and Spurs vs. Lakers.
I come from Germany and we dont have the NBA in our TV !! This is bull ... In the last time we have NBA but the most games are Mavs games with the German Nowitzki this sucks realy but better then nothing and now we have nothing!
I see all Spurs games over the International League Pass ca. 100€ / 150$ but all 82 Games :-)

my point is if i have enuf pipol online bugging them on twitter then maybe eventually they will realize that theres more to the NBA other than the lakers and cavs
btv sucks! But hey, we are luckier than other spurs fan from other parts of the world. At least, we get to see SOME spurs game.
I dunno about this statement. I concede that lakers maybe popular here in the philippines, but the spurs may not be far behind. From my observation, i see many people wearing the spurs jersey here (mainly duncan and tp).

Not all cable companies have BTV, so you are luckier. I, too, is a Las Pinas Cable subscriber. I normally rely on RPN 9 and any scheduled games from ESPN or Star Sports to watch Spurs games.

I see a few around Manila and Makati every so often. But in the course of normal conversation, most people I know definitely root for the Lakers/Cavs/Celtics first and foremost. I know in most of my fantasy nba leagues I'm like the lone Spurs fan. Course I could be wrong; and we know how people in Makati and Manila are, always cheering the frontrunner!

Oh yeah, and with Spoelstra I've seen an uptick in Heat fans.
By the way, I think our game schedule may also have something to do with what is broadcast nationally in the US and what games the NBA wants shown overseas.
for sure you have a good point ..... but everytime i just notice when TNT carries the games(usually 2 games) and SA is playing they would always seem to broadcast the other game where SA is not playing ..... it just gets old that these people running this cable channel are too mainstream and i must say very cheesy in choosing their game broadcast .... 1 month no SPURS is just a damn shame!!!! like i said earlier

I don't think BTV will even give a hoot on the Spurs fan barrage on their twitter page because honestly, Pinoys are bandwagon fans and it is the Lakers and Cavs on the menu.
I remembered when I took a vacay, the Phx Suns are kicking everybody's asses in 07 and everyone there are going Nash this, Amare that...well, we all know what happened in the playoffs. Gulpi de gulat man!
I have watched almost every spurs game live. Buti na lang me mga live coverage sa net. I don't need to pay just to watch the spurs game.
i dont think we can uy LPass back here ..... your right that cable channel cud careless what the other fans think about them its either ur a laker or cav fan then theyll listen .....
I have the same dilemma being from Phx so I cant watch the Spurs. Links are fine but sometimes, they stop streaming in the middle of the game or usually the last 6-7 minutes of the 4th. Well, we are after all pinoys kaya sanay tayo sa pahirapan at tiyagaan sa blurry and lagging streams.
