The hottest team in the NBA.![]()
![]()
Following the Cavs last second loss, we are 8-2 over the last 10, the only team to post such a record.
Boston is 4-6
Orlando is 4-6
Atlanta is 5-5
LA is 6-4
Dallas is 5-5
Making this thread because I'm not worried about jinxes and I don't really care anyway.
Go Spurs Go.

[nervous chuckle]
If our boys are going to win the LOB, nothing's going to stop them.
I have faith in this team.
Seriously though, we're starting to see signs from this team, which is obviously great..they're starting to live up to the expectations..
We still need to see an improvement with leads, they still give up way too many leads..they start getting too careless and settling for Js once there's a double-digit lead in our favor..that's something that can be fixed though..
There's also still a big problem at defending the p&r and defending switches around the mid-post and also defending the perimeter within the 3-point line..I don't know how this will improve though, we'll see..
Good progress though, hopefully they continue to improve..
The Spurs are 5-2 in January.
Only 2 of their 5 wins were against better than .500 teams. Their win against the lakers was obviously against a Lakers team minus Gasol.
Yeah, but we've been missing Bonner and Finley...
even if you're being sarcastic, the irony here is priceless.![]()
You can only beat who you play. And we didn't just beat the Lakers, we demolished them.
I hope you had a good laugh...![]()
mainly the Bonner part. I think everyone hates Finley..
I love Finley. He's a great guy. He's just past his prime.![]()
They're both very attractive expiring contracts... at least it's what we've been hearing since the season started... Manu too...
Too bad there doesn't seem to be any takers...
But...but...it's only January...
Way past. It's makes one feel empty inside thinking about him playing at all anymore. Especially with Hairston being 'wasted' in Austin - you can only hope Finley hits a few big shots for us when he *finally* returns to health (how long is he overdue now?)
It's true, especially combined .. we'll see what happens. There's still time for big moves, though if we continue playing well it's hard to see Pop and RC approving them. They're confident in this team as constructed IMO.
Spurs have always gave up leads in games..even during all your championships seasons. Part of your teams nature...
agreed, although its the nature of the NBA for this to happen, the other team will always make a run.
Remember when Chris Webber came back from a long season injury and got put back into the starting lineup with the Sacramento Kings. He simply HINDERED the team with his presence. The Kings were red hot during that time, until Webber came in and spoiled the team's chemistry.
Therefore, Finley and Bonner should NOT be put into a common rotation and just sit the bench unless they are absolutely need. I hope the Spurs DO NOT ruin the team's current chemistry.
Nothing to get excited about; Spurs too up and down at this point.
Relating Bonner/Finley to Chris Webber..![]()
very true!
who cares if the teams we beat were sub 500, this game is about winning.

Lakes and Celtics have been posting 10-0 over last 10 numerous times during these recent past seasons.
Spurs are showing signs but it's not a big deal.
We also are tied with the best record in the league in the past 20 games:
spurs 15-5
cavs 15-5
lakers 14-6
celtics 13-7
losing big leads has been happening this season to ALL teams. I think it's the way it's officiated. Stern wants to keep the games close.
