If messing them up equals four NBA les and the best record in the NBA since the late 90s, then I'm okay with that.
Why do you think POOP's coaching extension coincidentally runs exactly through Duncan's?

Could it be because... *gasp* he knows he would be exposed for the fraud he is trying to coach a Duncan-less team once TD rides off into the sunset?

not sure whos post you reading but ur always off the point KABAYAN .... your coach pop is messing up the spurs thats my point
Listen PARE, I recommend you read what you post first before questioning other peoples reading comprehension. It will help you in future discussions.

Just some helpful advice, take it as you will.

And as to 'my' Pop messing up the Spurs; well as I said: It's almost unintentionally satirical how overwrought some posters get.

Pop is by no means a perfect coach (no coach is), but he is one of the best in the league and in league history. And if your criticism is "he no like players who show emotion"...well. Ok then.

Someone didn't step up their game.

OP, normally, a team takes on the personality of their floor leader, which just happens to be arguably the most stoic player to ever play the game. Showboating is low-class, so it's easy to see Pop's opinion of that, however, our players show emotion when the situation deems it necessary. I've always seen our players keep a lid on emotion until 4th quarter heroics are needed. They know it's a 48 minute game and an 82 game season, so why get worked up in the first half? We have a very emotional team, but I highly doubt they throw their pabst blue ribbon at the TV as you do.

lemme ask you do you think POP is doing a good job with the team we have right now with his lineup and SMALL ball approach ... how do you feel honestly? coz i aint sure happy seein Rj playin 4 when hes agaisnt aldridge or somebody like Love down there when we have tools like ian that we can use

LOL. If not for a lucky ping pong ball POOP wouldn't have even been a coach. He only "decided" to coach once he found out they won the grand prize lottery pick of the decade.

    STFU

Uh actually Avery Johnson Sean Elliott and David Robinson went to Pop and told him to fire Hill or they were gonna go public demanding his firing.

    Learn your history kid.

I'm sure the decision to insert himself as coach was at their bequest as well? FAIL.

So if he got a contract extension he becomes a better coach?

    Uh actually it was.

Robinson Elliott and Avery loved Pop.

Elliott and Pop are good friends.

Not as close as Duncan and Pop, but close.

If the other team is big and were playing small ball then yes I'm pissed, but if the other team is one big and 4 guards, then no I'm not.

Everything was falling for the Bobcats and nothing for the Spurs, that and turnovers is why the game was lost. I mean the Spurs were 3 of 24 from the 3 point line. Even their towel boy had 6 points... Sheesh, Pop can coach his ass off but if the shots don't fall in they are going to lose.

I don't care if Pop doesn't let his players show emotions, but what I am worried about is the lack of urgency this team shows when playing average teams which only ends up in a letdown.

I think he should be limited to 5 to 10 minutes or none at all when he comes back.

What does this even mean? More minutes for McDyess and Ratliff to keep Boris Diaw from going 10-14 (4-4 from 3PT)?

it means not letting Finley guard Nowitzki Rj guard aldridge or finely guard the opposing center

I still don't understand what you are suggesting. You want Tim, McDyess/Blair, + another big on the floor at all times?

RJ actually guard Dirk well the last time.

Finley's role this year before the injury had greatly been reduced, so again, I don't see your point.

im suggesting that we use the tools we have as a team and let the other teams worry about our strengths we let the other team adjust to us than us adjusting to them all the time which then throws to waste all the off season moves we did .... i mean ratliff that dude even if plays 5 mins or 3mins he almost always gets 1 block and it starts our offense most often than not ... teams know that we arent athletic and we play small all the time .... time to change that because we have the talent to do so
