Fisher has a lot of life tonight, I guess Laker fans won't be able to on him for one night only..
Thank CHRIST! The obligatory "Scan the LA crowd for greasy celebs" shot. I was gettin antsy.
Fisher has a lot of life tonight, I guess Laker fans won't be able to on him for one night only..
The bigger question is why he plays Barnes so much. He'd be a lot better off giving Rashard most of the minutes at SF and giving Anderson/Bass the bulk of the minutes at PF. No reason to play small ball when you don't have to.
Looks like the shoulder never fully recovered.
I don't understand why Bynum never gets more touches.
2 freebies from the refs. Happy birthday Ron!
Magic fans all want Bass to get more minutes, it's weird that he doesn't..he also plays the bench waaay too much, he kills the starting lineup's rhythm, which is dangerous when Nelson, VC and Lewis are all rhythm shooters/volume scorers..
its strange how the flow works. whenever a post player gets in foul trouble they forget about him. sometimes happens to pau but that gets more attention since he is the 2nd option and there is more sense of urgency to get him the ball.
VC is damaged goods, much like his cousin... I think everyone except Ron Jeremy knew that...
Carter was still really good last year..he was also moving well and playing really well in preseason..I don't really know what happened..the injuries could be a legit reason, but I don't know..he can't make any shots anymore for some reason..they also don't use him as a playmaker, which is something he was very good at last year in NJ with much inferior teammates around him..
I think it's more he uses the wrong bench players. I'd have Nelson, Vince, Lewis, Anderson and Howard in the starting lineup, with Pietrus and Bass as the main players off the bench with Gortat, Barnes, and Anthony Johndon as the lesser players off the bench. JJ Re and Jason Williams are scrubs who play way too much.
People on this forum were arguing it was a good move. I never thought it was. And I'm referring to passing on Turko for VC.
The Orlando Magic knew Hedo was going to leave and they aren't going to pay too much for him. They did not trade Hedo for Carter, they traded Courtney Lee for Carter. How is that not a good move?
Carter wasn't picked over Turkoglu..
They chose to keep Gortat and sign Bass instead of keeping Turkoglu since Turk wanted a lot more $ than they would have preferred..
I also don't buy the Turkoglu excuse at all..if your team relied that much on an above average player to make the NBA Finals, then that's really sad..
They have a lot more problems than Turkoglu's absence..
Because the bench and Fisher chucks up every open jumper they see. Brown, Sasha, Farmar, Ammo - all guilty.
It's a five-point game, broseph. Don't start rioting yet.
I wonder if Bynum will ever learn how to play D..I think he's still scarred from when Chuck Hayes dropped 14-14 on his ass..
And to be honest, Carter should give them more than Turk *IF* healthy, IMO.
The problem is that it's a huge ing IF...
Barkley's on fire tonight..saying Howard(could be) and Gasol(LOL) are better than Dirk and Duncan, and now Oscar Roberton is the 2nd best player of all-time LOL..
And now he is reminding himself of the old days while he was on the Suns. He has got to be drunk.
The Magic weren't gonna do anything with the team they had. They were a healthy Garnett away from being 2nd round fodder. Turk had a monster series against a team that couldn't guard him. That wouldn't be the case this year now that the Cavs have Anthony Parker and Jamario Moon.
Agree w/ some of that, disagree with some.
Barnes is great in the starting lineup. If anything they should put a real PF in the starting lineup (Anderson) and have Lewis come off the bench.
I know 18 million for a bench player, crazy but Lewis' defense is so bad right now what can you do? I'd even play Bass ahead of him as the backup.
whats wrong with the big O?
Than why the did Kobe play 23 minutes this half.
