That doesn't mean that we care about them more - it means that we have a more competent administration in place.
Sad.. sad... sad..
Seems the U.S. govenment responded faster to Haiti than New Orleans.
That doesn't mean that we care about them more - it means that we have a more competent administration in place.
..............birds of a feather.
New Orleans citizens who refused to leave with knowledge of a mega storm coming
or
Haitian citizens surprised by a mega earthquake
just sayin
We're just helping the country that we're supposed to help. No issues here.

comparing a nation with ppl who have nothing to a nation of ppl who have everything but dont take the opportunity further their way of life or standard of living...
why do you think sometimes the govt doesnt really give a to some of its own ppl in the community cause they never get off their asses and do something about it instead of blaming the govt or whoever for their failed life

Customers must enter with cash in one hand and tool in the other
damm thats funny
I was watching that apocalypse guy on tv and he said " the only buildings not affected during katrina looting were the city libraries."priceless
French and then US govts have been ing over Haiti for a couple hundred years. Most recently, the US supporting the Papa Doc and Baby Doc Duvalier murderous dictatorships that ran Haiti even more into the ground, while their Tonton Macoutes hit squads slaughtered 1000s.
Even now, the corporate/capital vultures and hyenas are circling, trying figure out how to profit/ripoff from the many $10Bs of international aid that will be pouring in.
With Haiti having "friends" like America, who needs enemies?
We should give the relief cards so they can buy flat screens and Gucci clothes. That will help them out.
Regardless of who the administration is, there were enough lessons learned during Katrina that it's unlikely that kind of slow response would occur again.
Or maybe it means that the bureaucracy learned something from NO and there are now better disaster aid mobilisation plans. There was nothing available but confusion and incompetence when Katrina hit.
Blame it on the US....how suprising...
Where are their "real" friends when they really need them...I know that the US has given more aid than any other country..wheres Chavez??
But your not upset about how the US is expected to rebuild that hole..on tax payers dime.
A big aftershock hit Haiti again this morning...a 6.1...damn I just can't say how sorry I feel for those people.
Yeah, it's just horrible.
