Kobe's a first ballot hall of famer and a top 10 player all-time who has lived up to the hype. Carter is a player who had everything in the world going for him and then became a jumpshooting pussy with no will to drive. It's like Charles Oakley scared him soft when he called him out in that series with Philly.

Injuries have really screwed him over in his later-Toronto years, but even after that, he's had a really nice career in New Jersey.

Laker fan can't take a compliment. The Lakers are a great team. Kobe is now a legit great player -- has to be considered a top two shooting guard ever. The supporting cast is great. They have the best coach of all-time. The Lakers are by far the favorites to win the championship. There's no way they don't end up with the first seed in the WC.

I would agree with your Gaysol excuse only if you continued playing like a depressed teenage girl when he was injured but you actually step up and fill that void so that excuse is garbage...much like Dejuanito Blair's 28 pt 23 reb game against the Thunda making up for Timmy's absence.

But if we're going to make injury excuses, 2009 playoffs...Yao injured for Rockets, Ginobili injured for Spurs, Nelson injured for Magic, KG injured for Celtics, etc. What does that say about your 2009 le, is it tarnished?
