A) In good taste
B) In bad taste
C) Okay because Charger fan did it all year
D) A declaration of homosexuality
E) Both B & D
With the Super Bowl only three weeks away, one would think they have a pretty good idea of who's backing what team in this place. But unfortunately, that is not the case. There was a noticable upswing in NFL forum activity from Charger fans between Weeks 13 and 19, spanning the time between them becoming the Colts number one rival in the AFC and being eliminated by the Jets. Now we have the mother of all farces. After little to no activity whatsoever backing the Jets during the regular season, a one DarrinS has now posted three pro-Jets threads in the days following their upset of San Diego. It's been like two days dude. I step away from SpursTalk for a few days to catch up on the newest Batman comics, and I come back to a Jets bandwagoner? I honestly can't believe what I'm seeing. Or reading. However you want to put it.
I'm a pretty realistic Jets fan. I know they're probably not going to beat the Colts, and it's mostly because Peyton Manning can avoid the blitz like a pro. I like that Rex Ryan has the team believing they can win on the road and should be favored to, but there's a fine line between genius and lunacy, and he's stumbling around both sides of it like a drunk right now. The NFL doesn't work to where because the Chargers had beaten the Colts two years in a row, and the Jets just beat them, that they're better than the Colts. DarrinS is stupid to think that. I know nobody's picking the Jets and it'll be a big upset if they win, but how do you stop Peyton Manning? And they didn't do a good job on him in Week 16, in a game the Colts blatantly shortened the playbook.
Please. We're the Ravens with a better secondary and tier quarterback, and the Colts just schooled those birds. Don't let DarrinS fool you into thinking the Jets have a legitimate shot at the upset. Peyton Manning has owned this kind of defense for the last decade, and he whipped its ass last week so hard he stopped trying to score on it because he knew Joe Flacco couldn't do anything. You think he's afraid of Sanchise?
So let us use this thread as an open discussion on the politics of fanhood. Is it right to wait until a team clinches to start talking to their opponents? Is it okay to jump on the bandwagon when the team is one game away from the Super Bowl? While the answers to these questions are both "no," feel free to discuss them anyway.

Prob just a Colts hater, Brodie. Just ignore him like we are and it's all good.![]()
It's nice to see a real Jets fan like Brodie backing up what he believes in.
Look, dude, I'd like to think the Jets could run their way into the Super Bowl but I don't think they do it in that dome. Peyton Manning is too good.
Let me get this straight...
I'm not a "real" fan since I haven't been posting in the NFL forum on an NBA message board?????
Got it. Thanks.
Can we discredit your political takes because you're making them on an NBA message board?
If the answer is no, then GFY.
Gotta go buy a pack of menthols, some crystal meth and a bag of syringes. Brb yo.

I guess 2006 was that decade of pure ownage you were talking about.
Austin, sir. I wouldn't step foot in Dallas unless someone was offering me a job with a two comma salary or someone told me they had some vintage 60s era LSD.
Too many black people for ya?
My bad, I thought you were there.
Never mind....move along....nothing to see here.![]()
More like too many Cowboy and Mavericks fans, and ty traffic.
You're complaining about traffic and you live in Austin?
For a city its size, the traffic in Austin is pretty bad. Nothing as bad as Houston or Dallas, but just bad planning all around.
Horrible planning. I've been to a few meetings there and it's a gridlock cluster . At least you can get around in SA.
I would recommend you not drive on I-35 downtown between the hours of 3 and 6PM. Of course, if you've lived in Austin long enough you know how to get where you want without needing that part of 35.
do you know where you are?
You created a troll account just to screw with me? I'm flattered.
Also, I take offense to the insinuation that I don't like Dallas because I'm racist. The second to last time I was in Dallas, I gave $10 to a panhandler who happened to be black. Not because of any white guilt or because I genuinely wanted to give him ten dollars, but he was rocking this cool ninja headband and I had to give the man props on a great fashion accessory.
As a matter of fact the last time I was in Dallas I went to a Mavericks game and the nice people of Dallas politely offered my friend some yardwork jobs at the stadium. Quality folks.
Why is it you all the sudden want to post in the NFL forum now that the Jets are in the AFC championship?
It's pretty ironic a Rush Limbaugh apologist would write this.
I have to admit, it is pretty funny to see someone conveniently pop up in this forum the week their team Cinderella's its way to AFCCG.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say he he has less than 5 total posts in this forum before Monday.
I wonder if he abides by the tall WR theory.
