It's too bad the Hornets decided to do a LeIso for Chris Paul in overtime.
Rolled his ankle in the OT, looks ok right now.

bout time the luck runs out on the HOrnets. I havent seen a team win as many games it deserved to lose than the Hornets the past 2 years. When you have guys like Rasual Butler and James Posey hitting game winners you know you're a lucky ass team.
Jeff Bower became Byron Scott all of a sudden in OT. WTF? Our lineup of Okafor/Songalia/Posey/Thornton/CP3 did really well in the 4th quarter, yet at the start of OT he takes out one of our best defenders in Posey and our best perimeter scorer in Thornton for Peja and Devin Brown.
Peja was uselss offensively and became a liability on defense forcing Affalo's defender to leave him wide open.
Devin Brown is useless offensively and wasn't guarding Carmelo well anyway.
Great effort on a second night of a B2B without DWest, but all I can think about is how the coaching staff made a mistake in OT.
Oh well, hopefully 24 hours from now, I'm gonna be celebrating the Saints going to the Super Bowl. Only thing to look forward to this weekend.
Well this Hornets loss might cost Dallas home-court against Denver in the second round unless you think the Mavs can win there anyway.
This game would have been a huge win considering the Rockets and Thunder lost.
With Seeds #4 through #11 only separated by 2 losses, every game is going to be a big game.
Great WC entertainment, the East just blows.
Melo 9-28 from the field. Where's all the MVP hype gone?
Yep, Chris Paul just outplaying the entire Nuggets team again. Melo got the love from the refs, so he got all the free throws.
He had a kobe-esque night, so if anything he should get more MVP hype
Lebron is the only real MVP candidate.
I watched the end of this game and the Hornets are just Chris Paul and a pile of crap. I honestly feel really bad for him. One thing I noticed is he really has a knack for just bulldozing down the lane like a running back for such a little guy, even over much bigger guards. Strong enough to finish to boot.
sons no big deal. it was a tough back to back road game and no David West in the lineup. with all of the help Melo received I am actually surprised the game was even as close as it was.
J.R. Smith could face ramifications for behavior
The Denver Nuggets are talking about a possible punishment for sulking guard J.R. Smith, whose behavior has rubbed management the wrong way.
Smith didn’t attend an optional practice Sunday, after which coach George Karl described his behavior on the bench Saturday night as “eclectic.” Karl said he would meet with the team’s brass before deciding what to do.
One possibility is a suspension for Smith, who has been mired in a season-long slump and evidently was pouting Saturday night when he played a season-low 12 minutes in Denver’s 116-110 win over New Orleans.
Smith pledged more maturity this season after pleading guilty to reckless driving in a car crash that killed a friend. He spent 24 days in a New Jersey correctional facility and was suspended by the NBA for the first seven games this season.
i can't stand JR anymore but the Nuggets can't trade him. They won't get anything for him and he can still be a force off the bench sometimes.
I'd say that CB will chat to him and get this stuff sorted outBillups is the real coach in Denver, not George
Agreed. Chancey is like a baby-sitter to Thuggets like smith and martin. I can't believe Iverson was on that team at one time as well. Take away Billups and the Nuggs are in trouble. Billups does it, b/c he knows how much true talent and potential the nuggs have.
BTW, gutsy effort by Hornets. No West, paul half-blind, brought the nuggs to OT at the Pepsi Center. Great WC game~! The East simply blows.
