Rookie mistake.![]()
"I slept in," Bynum said before the Lakers played the Raptors on Sunday. "I put my bags outside and then I went to sleep."
----
"His bags made it to Toronto, but he didn't," Lakers coach Phil Jackson quipped.

Don't they have morning calls on road trips? They are staying in a hotel or some sort, right?
Seriously, you should be able to spot a clueless 7 footer missing.
Phil Jackson probably thinks Bynum deserves some punishment for sleeping in or being late and just leave without him.
I guess all the lakers knew but they just wanted it to happen.
At first I thought the fine was pretty low for an NBA player in general, but after paying $300 for a commercial flight and being pretty uncomfortable there especially for a 7'0" er, it's probably all worth it.
How the F does a team leave without saying "Uh, wheres Andrew?"
Seriously?
Or did Phil just say F him leave him?
Either way, pretty F'ed up but hey, your a multi millionaire, set the damn alarm on your phone, computer, clock, set up a wake up call, somethin.
I heard the fine was $250?
WTF?
Maybe Bynum should miss more flights since he beasted on Bosh today..Too bad fisher lets every guard abuse the out of him.
In Phil Jackson's book he talks about a strict policy he has where everyone on the team is supposed to be at the bus by 10:00 on road trips and the bus leaves at 10:05 no exceptions. That's why Bynum was missing. Phil's policy is that they don't wait around for players. If I'm not mistaken a similar thing happened with Kobe in 2004 and it turned out Phil Jackson's watch was fast and they wound up leaving early.
Because if Sasha admitted that he left him home, he would have been very embarrassed
Josh Powell and everybody on his Xbox Live friends list.
Andrew will never make that mistake again.
Bynum with 21 points on 60% shooting, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks.
Lakers should pay that $250 fine and extra flight![]()
exactly. how can you forget a 7 footer.
And the Lakers still find a way to lose, to the Raptors no less![]()
Can't blame this one on Bynum though... he did his job.
You mean you can't blame it on Bynum's offense..
Bosh and Bargs both had good games..
